I don't know if this qualities as good news because bad news isn't far away. Sven Bender is back in training. Also Raphael is been given the all clear.
I have to imagine Bartra has earned his spot next to sokratis for the time being, but defensive cover is always a good thing
In the business end of the season I'd like to see LP replace Durm on the right so the back 3 could be Sokratis, Sven and Bartra. LP is a better offensive player than Durm.
He really isn't. He does not have Durm's great fitness, which is vital and his first touch and passing are very poor. He did make an excellent pass for Pulisic's goal, but in general he loses the ball so often and the attacks died with him there. In truth he is not even good enough on the ball to play right centre back. Why go back to the poor tactics and selections that were failing the team earlier on?
Piszczek is not good enough to play RB/RWB anymore. Moving him to RCB was the right move by Tuchel, minimizes his now-apparent lack of burst, fitness, and speed in favor of his still-solid veteran defensive instincts.
I think he's improved but perhaps the winning streak is hiding his short comings. Let's see. His time is coming to an end for sure.
Bild says that the S04 return for Reus is too soon. It's too high of a risk. His return will thus be against Bayern.
There seems to be a little setback for Bender but even worse, Weigl picked up an injury during the friendly against England. I don't know whether he will miss games for us, though, but we all know what that would mean for our game.
Sahin possibly with torn ligaments again after that unintentional but still horrible foul. He and Gundo just step from one injury into the other.
Dortmunds Shinji Kagawa hat sich beim Länderspiel für Japan gegen Syrien bei einem Sturz eine Schulterverletzung zugezogen. #ssnhd pic.twitter.com/Tl14uZN8Xo— Sky Sport News (@SkySportNews) June 7, 2017 kagawa injured his shoulder VS syria gute besserung, kagawa!
Reus has undergone the surgery and probably will back next year. here's the translation of his Instagram post, courtesy of Ralf Hildenbrand
I wonder who will replace Marco up front as the spiritual leader. New PSG director is actually not particularly interested in PEA.
Does anybody have any update on Gotze's health? Is he going to join team at beginning of July for practice ?
Reports are that he's making good progress and should be joining the club sometime in July. The pictures of him at Manual Neuer's wedding seem to illustrate he's still got some pounds to take off...... Looking forward to having him back healthy.
LOL Bild says that according to the pictures from the wedding he's making excellent progress. More than the weight loss, it's his energy, stamina and sprightliness is what he needs back the most. He still has his skills, creativity and vision but if he can't execute them against the opposition then he's as good as Rode.
Anyone have a good summary of the current state? It seems Weigl is set to come back soon. Guerreiro is still a month away? Reus is 2018. What about Durm and Rode? Is the latest on Schmelzer mid-to-late October? Bartra will be back this weekend? The bench is thread bare and there are a lot of games coming.
