I cannot wait for this game. Its really exciting. Many italian players are having amazing seasons at their club, and I cannot wait to see how they do tomorrow. I hope they put up an amazing performance. Juventus players as always having a fairly good season. Good to see Marchisio back, and I hope he does well. Verratti just humiliated Barca's midfield a few weeks ago, and hopefully he does it again on wednesday. Belotti is having a monster season and has scored a few world class goals. Gabbiadini has scored more goals than the number of games he played since he joined Southampton. Immobile is also doing really well for Lazio. Bernardeschi is bossing it for Fiorentina, and is the player thats keeping them alive. Without him, Fiorentina would be 12th place at least at the moment. He is also really bossing it with free kicks and extremely world class goals. Romagnoli and Rugani are also having great seasons. Zappacosta and De Sciglio as well. Donarumma, Locatelli, and many AC Milan players are doing so well. Insigne is also rediscovering is form and has also scored some world class goals quite recently. Honestly I am really excited as I see a heck of a team coming soon. How do you think we should line up? I think this might be good to try: -Belotti- -Insigne-Bernardeschi- -De Sciglio-Marchisio-Verratti-Zappacosta- -Romagnoli-Bonucci-Rugani- -Buffon- Of course you can play around with defense and use Chiellini and Barzagli as well. I am just thinking that Rugani and Romagnoli are our future and are both having great seasons, and it would be good to start them to give them experience.
I'd 'like' to see- Belotti Insigne - Bernadeschi - Berardi Verratti - Marchisio/De Rossi 4 But I suspect Candreva will keep his spot.
Ya Italia has a crop of fine young lads ready to make their mark on international football. I always get excited for Azzurri games no matter the occasion. I'm a big fan of Bernardeschi, Belotti, Zappacosta, the Milan crew, Gagliardini, Pellegrini, Rugani. Forza Italia! Hoping to see Berardi get a call
You sure Berardi should be a starting player at the moment? Since he came back from injury he hasn't been scoring that much.
A possible 11 for the Albania match could have a good mix of young talent and experienced internationals: Belotti Bernardeschi ------- Candreva De Sciglio --- Marchisio ----- Verratti --- Zappacosta Romagnoli --- Bonucci --- Barzagli Buffon Bench: Strikers: Gabbiadini, Immobile Midfielders/Wingers: De Rossi, Gagliardini, Benassi, Parolo, Berardi, Eder, Insigne Defenders: Rugani, Chiellini (injured right now), Darmian, Astori GK: Donnarumma, Sirigu Possible Surprise Inclusions: Strikers: Petagna, Borriello, Inglese, Sansone, Zaza Midfielders/Wingers: Chiesa, Pellegrini, Soriano, Verdi Defenders: Conti, Barreca GK: Cragno
This is the exact same starting lineup/formation I would choose with the possible exception of starting Rugani or Caldara over aging Barzagli. 3 4 3 seems to be the best fit IMO. 4 2 4 (or 4 2 3 1) can be deployed against minnows and in friendlies, but the 3 4 3 is what we need when the result really matters (high importance).
We'll you said anything so I'm assuming you'd be paying for the blender not me. But I'd definitely finance it if some muzzy's got thrown in
I hope we stick with the 2 striker approach for this match and experiment more against the Dutch. Albania is a decent side and we cannot afford to drop points. I would like to see Bernadeschi and Insigne play, they have been fantastic recently.
Here is our Squad that Ventura announced: Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan), Alex Meret (Spal) Defenders: Davide Astori (Fiorentina), Andrea Barzagli (Juventus), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Matteo Darmian (Manchester United), Danilo D’Ambrosio (Inter), Mattia De Sciglio (Milan), Alessio Romagnoli (Milan), Daniele Rugani (Juventus), Leonardo Spinazzola (Atalanta), Davide Zappacosta (Torino) Midfielders: Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Roberto Gagliardini (Inter), Marco Parolo (Lazio), Marco Verratti (Paris Saint Germain) Wingers: Federico Bernardeschi (Fiorentina), Antonio Candreva (Inter), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Nicola Sansone (Villarreal) Forwards: Andrea Belotti (Torino), Eder Citadin Martins (Inter), Manolo Gabbiadini (Southampton), Ciro Immobile (Lazio) I know Chiellini is recovering from injury and Juventus don't want to risk him on international break but what about Marchisio? I am guessing maybe the same with him as well, but I am not sure. Anyone know why Marchisio isn't there?
No complaints from me about the squad. Good for Alex Meret to get the call up, he is a promising young keeper
