Sure hope Koscielny floors some Icelandic bitches today . . . .

And yes, my autocorrect now suggests 'Koscielny' once I type Kos

Honestly, some may disagree with me, but for my money it's he and Adams. Kos has been my favorite Gooner for years now and he is just immense for us.

Kos just signed a new deal with Arsenal through the 2020 campaign.

    May he retire a Gooner!

Oh yeah . . . and two other French guys (not pictured) also signed extensions.

Excellent news. Perhaps you cut the other two out because of their mangy beards? Laurent is so damn clean cut!

Very possibly our most impactful player in the post-Invincibles era.

A very intersting statement, but it depends on what you mean by impactful.

For instance, I would argue that (gulp) RvP's 30 goal performance in his final season at Arsenal single-handedly kept us from dropping out of the top 4 (finishing 3rd, just 1 point above Spuds, no less). Not to mention he played in all 38 games that season, and scored against a record 17 different clubs.

Pretty impactful, but it was only 1 season. Perhaps by impactful you were more focusing on Kos' consistent impact across his multiple seasons since his arrival?

Kos has held our defense together for years.

The man is a club legend. If he could win major honors somewhere down the road, he will get a statue.

You reckon he will before Ian Wright? He's a legend for sure, agreed. He's the perfect professional, never in trouble, always works hard, leads by example.

I don't know if he will before

I'm just saying he will eventually.

No way. Statues will not be built for anyone in this squad since they didn't win enough. Statues, while suppose to be based on individual contribution to the club, is heavily swayed by the collective achievement.

We'd get a statue for David O'Leary before one for Kos.

Arsenal.com put up some numbers on Koz to mark his 200th game
    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20170119/behind-the-numbers-koscielny-s-200

The one that caught my eye was "17 goals - the most by any Arsenal defender". Really?? Then I realized it was just "in the Premier League". So the likes of Adams, McClintock & Dixon can still claim more than Koz. But give him a few more years with us and maybe he could jump up to 2nd or 3rd place all-time? :)

Ha! I like the way Mee's eyes are closed as he's about to put his boot into Koz's face. He's damn lucky it wasn't a horrific injury.

    1) koscielny plays for arsenal. therefore, he's just soft and wants calls his way.
    2) ben mee is an english footballer. therefore, he's just passionate and should be lauded.

Nah, high-foot foul is rarely ever a red card.

    Case in point
