I would've been good with Krychowiak... not with Kante. We're already playing like crap for the most part... can't imagine how bad it would be with yet another non-control type of player on the pitch... and then playing him out of position to top it off.
Exactly my thoughts as well. We just need to go back to the same formation and put someone else at DM to do the job, Pepe, Varane, Carvajal, someone....anyone....
Has Kante really flopped? I haven't seen much of Chelsea, but it's my understanding that their issue is that shit defense
What has James got to do with all of this? I could have written Isco or Ronaldo or some other name and it's completely irrelevant for the sake of this discussion. You're going overboard with the whole James thing.
I have no idea if Flo took a step back and turned over all control to ZZ, but based on previous experiences I'd be more inclined to say this did not happen, I'd say just because not many changes ( we did make a few) were made does not mean that Flo took a step back, that seems rather unlikely in reality that the president of the club had no say at all in determining the squad as he has done for years, there is surely a possibility that other factors are involved as to why we made the changes we did, ( or lack thereof) personally I think the idea that Flo just turned all control over to ZZ is a myth, ZZ is respected yes, as a player and the players will respect him, as a coach, not so much yet that Flo would hand all squad matters over to him in 6 months, doesn't make sense to me, but that is just my opinion, another conspiracy theory from me, ZZ wanted Pogba, Flo did not at the price offered and bonus to agent and salary asked for, hence no Pogba.
It's a joke bro. Relax. In all seriousness, the roster spot being completely wasted is Mariano's. James and Isco will come good, hell James already has helped us win a couple of games. Mariano really is not even called up
Leicester should have sold Mahrez and Vardy for incredible fees as well. Being honest i think the players they bought are worth what they paid for them. The team performed well together, but the idea that teams were allegedly offering up to 80 mil. for Mahrez. I would've packed his bags myself.
Handing over control does not mean just giving the checkbook to Zidane and saying "spend whatever, we're rich anyway." Its been said 1,000 times but paying €110M fee and €15M/year salary was too much for a CM, and would have caused problems in our future transfer dealings and contract negotiations. Perez most likely let Zidane pick players within reason to sign; Zidane returned and said "Pogba or bust." Perez said okay then its nothing because we, like every other reasonable club (Barca/Bayern/PSG/Chelsea), won't be duped by Raiola. Not signing Pogba this summer isn't proof that this window's shortcomings are Flo's fault and not Zidane's. He said no to one player, plenty of others Zidane could have requested.
I'm sure Mahrez and Vardy are regretting it themselves about now. Anyone who thought they wouldn't return to mid-table anonymity was too lost in the fairy tale.
Yes if they did not compete in CL they believed in them selves that they can reach higher goals You cant blame them for being optimistic and at least give it a try
Thank God he's back in training. Wonder how many minutes it will take for him to play in the next two games to get up to speed in preparation for the Clasico
Well apparently he might even be called up against Sporting. So 30 mins and 60 mins would get him up to speed nicely
