And an early exit: Red card - Danny Williams is sent off after a coming-together with Johansen.— Reading FC (@ReadingFC) December 3, 2016
I think he probably latches on to either one of the just promoted teams or relegated teams. He clearly is good enough to start for a top 6 championship club. Does that mean he's a good rotation candidate for a mid table prem club? I don't know.
Unfortunately you cannot quite see the full incident involving Williams in those highlights. You just see initially a clash of bodies. Then the camera pans back around and you see Danny standing over top of the player with said player rolling around in agony. When ref shows Danny the red card you can see his opponent flash his stomach with a nice welt on it. Presumably Danny stamped on him. If that's the case.......Danny is probably looking at a three match ban and early Christmas. I love the way Denny plays but it's not the first time he's run into this sort of incident.
If he did stamp on the guy, a 3-match ban could be the minimum: IIRC that falls under "violent conduct" so he could have another game or tewo added on - again IIRC. More seriously, he's probably done himself a good deal of damage with other clubs that are/might be interested in his services. A CM who's prone to "red mist" incidents is not someone you want to base your EPL promotion or survival hopes on. Could be the difference between being picked up by a Brighton and a Hull city or a Sunderland.

Nonsense. What central midfielder has not been sent off? It's part of the position. Edgar Davids, Dunga, Viera, Keane.
Bryan Robson. Second, a red card for two yellows goes with the territory. A straight red for a bad tackle or similar is something the manager will have a word with the player about. Stamping is another story entirely; it's a serious lack of discipline combined with real cowardice. Only spitting on an opponent is regarded as being worse. If you've got a record of disciplinary problems, a stamping "conviction" will make the better clubs that are interested in you think twice and have another look at their other options. Sure, Keane did it and kept playing, but Danny Williams isn't in Roy Keane's league, is he??
Some comments on his Norwich performance from hob nob: - Williams - his run in 1st half (when took on about 3 players, should have passed, then got fouled) seemed to spark the team into life. Overall an OK performance. -Good to see Swift and Williams back although they didn't really shine. - Williams adds something no one else in the team can, he picks the ball up and actually drives forward with it. - Williams - 7 - Gives you something different, drives with the ball. Good to see him back. - Williams 6: Not one of his better games, kept on being caught in possession

Funny bit at the end of this clip, Reading player refusing shirt swap with Rooney. On the plus side, George Evans completely mugs off Wayne Rooney - "don't want your shirt mate." 😂😂 #readingfc #MUFC pic.twitter.com/Lkm4addd7T— Greg Double (@Dubstep1988) January 7, 2017

From the live game report: He's playing on the right wing, btw "Williams has made a few probing runs down the right wing and he’s causing Bidwell problems. The American international looks very lively but hasn’t found a way through yet." Reading trailing 0-1

Reminds me of comments that Jones gets for the NT. In fact, Williams reminds me a little of Jones in how he plays. Initially viewed as a DM that really doesn't play like one. He likes to drive the ball forward and has a bit of attack in him.
