Pacific Premier League (New for 2016) Northern California https://www.facebook.com/pplprosoccer/?fref=ts
Certainly in men's open the Cosmopolitan League has stronger teams top to bottom and great history. The EDSL has stronger U20 and 23 programs. There is a good bit of overlap between the two and a strong relationship and respect...not a rivalry situation at all.
PDL team now in my back yard. Can't wait to take my son to check out some of these games when it gets going.... http://www.tcpalm.com/sports/local/...fc-3781-23b2-e053-0100007f7f1f-366941291.html

Evergreen Premier League (EPLWA) reveals Official Match Ball by Seattle company West Coast Goalkeeping
Covers VA, DC, and parts of MD: http://www.clubchampionsleague.com/pro23/ notable feature of this under-23 league is that each team is allowed 5 players over the age of 23. Also, each one of the clubs in the Club Champions League has a team for every age group from u9 through 18 - and now 'u23.'
CSLUSA appears to be dead. After supposedly expanding into Lakeland, Gainsville, St. Augustine, and Daytona the 2016 season never happened as far as I can tell. The 2016 season was also going to feature a two tier system forPro-Rel. Their Facebook and Twitter accounts have been silent since February 2016 and the website is disabled.

Pacific Premier League has its own website now. http://www.pacificpremiersoccer.com/ The two Sacramento area teams and the Reno team, that were in the league last year don't appear on the website, while three new teams from Redding, the Bay Area, and Ashland are now a part of the league.
Me too. Played in the league last year, it was a decent level. Hopefully they can stay steady and keep adding teams. It really does reach an under-served area as far as competitive soccer for adults go. If you don't/can't play college, or have already finished college there wasn't much besides Sunday league until now. They are also trying to launch a women's league with all of the same teams which is cool.
I have no idea. Never heard about this league until you mentioned it. Looked at their website, it doesn't appear that they have any teams up north or even in the Bay Area. So unless they start expanding into NorCal I don't see it happening but who knows?
Right now they are all SoCal, but have teams in Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho. They'll actually have a minimum of 3 teams in Idaho by next year.
Idaho? Now that's interesting since it's kinda far from SoCal and Arizona. Maybe there's some norther Nevada teams they'll compete with? At what point would the UPSL be considered big enough to rival the NPSL or the PDL? Either way I think continued expansion of semi-pro leagues and teams to new areas is one of the best things for the game in this country.
In terms of teams, UPSL is already at 50+. They'll compete with bigger leagues once they cross the Rockies and get more teams in Cali outside of the SoCal region
That doesn't strike me as particularly likely. Their respective missions seem different. the PDL has its issues but seems generally competent and some teams definitely feel professional. not sure that's the case with these regional startups.
