Bobby Mitchell (Scottish international left winger of the 1940s and 50s who played mostly for Newcastle United). Fionan "Paddy" Fagan (Irish international right winger of the 1950s and 60s who played for most notably for Manchester City) [-> I saw him taking various corner kicks with his left foot in the 1955 FA Cup Final] Karl-Heinz Vogt (German forward of the 1960s and 70s who played for Saarbrücken and Kaiserslautern among other clubs)
Julien Cools (international Belgian midfielder and also left back who played for Beringen, Club Brugge, Beerschot among other clubs between 1969 and 1986).
I have to correct this. It is actually Willy Wellens, not Julien Cools. The Italian commentator of the game I was watching (Italy v Belgium, friendly 1977) frequently had trouble pronouncing the Belgian names in a way that it was possible to identify the players and he also at times confused the players. After further inspection using the Belgian FA's website I have found out that the player in question, who wore the #10 shirt, was Willy Wellens, an international Belgian midfielder who played in the 1970s and 80s for a variety of clubs, among them Lierse SK, RWD Molenbeek, Standard Liège, Club Brugge and Beerschot.
René Verheyen (an international Belgian midfielder of the 1970s and 80s who played for Club Brugge, Lokeren, Turnhout and Gent).
Raúl Madero (Argentine left back of the 1960 who played for Boca Juniors, Huracan and Estudiantes de La Plata).
Thanks! I watched him play against AC Milan in the 1969 Intercontinental Cup first leg and there he appeared to be playing as left back. That was just one game of course, so it can be misleading, like in this case.
Michael De Groote (Belgian international midfielder and defender who played for Anderlecht, FC Liège and Gent from the mid-1970s to the early-1990s). René Vandereycken (Belgian international midfielder who played for FC Brugge, Genoa and Anderlecht from the mid-1970s to late-1980s).
Still from Belgium, Alex Czerniatynski (striker, winger, #11, Sporting Charleroi, Royal Antwerp, Anderlecht, Standard de Liège, Royal Antwerp again, Mechelen, FC Germinal Ekeren, Tilleur FC Liège and Diables Rouges).
Andy Lynch (Scottish left back of the late-60s to early-80s who played for Hearts and Celtic among other clubs)
Kristen Nygaard (AZ '67 70s-early 80s then Nîmes Olympique, first Aarhus, Denmark 70s). Nice pass (and goal) at 1:30. Scores the last goal at 4:30. It's the '81 Cup Final. Mario Corso, nicknamed 'God's Left Foot'. Need I say more? Gerrie Mühren - A favourite of mine and a quality player. Famed for that bit of showboating against Real at the Bernabeu which was in some ways emblematic of the shift of power from Real to Ajax in the European Cup. Right up there with Baxter's keepy uppys against reigning World Cup holders England when they won 3-2. There you go, another outrageously talented leftie.
Wolfgang Kneib (German goalkeeper of the 1970s and 80s who played for Mainz, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Arminia Bielefeld).
A 11 of left-footed in L1 by France Foot in August 2015 (website) : GK : Anthony Lopes (Lyon) DEF : Kurzawa (Monaco then PSG), Abdennour (Monaco), Rekik (OM), Sherrer Maxwell (PSG) MF : Thiago Motta, Matuidi, Di Maria (all PSG) ST : Bernardo Silva (Monaco), Fekir (OL), Giovanni Sio (Bastia on loan then Rennes) Maybe already mentionned : Chris Waddle (used the right foot too of course), A. Cabrini.
Zygmunt Anczok (Polish international left back of the 1960s and 70s who played for Polonia Bytom and Gornik Zabrze). Paul Power (English left back and midfielder of the 1970s and 80s who played for Manchester City and Everton).
^ ^^ Anczok is already cited I believe. Vercauteren opened the festivities into this thread (but I needed to cite him for my trilogy of Nantes players at the number 8-11 position). Paul Power = Not already cited I guess but I don't know : Raymond Domenech (left-footed).
