Dammit we just can't catch a break...I mean now Mesa will get ideas to start him in a 2 striker system and you know how that works so well for us.
I really doubt it because last time we played Belgium we didn't start two strikers. You really don't like Vedad, which is weird because its always nice to see our players in good form. He would be the perfect option off the bench if we chase a game
You think i don't like Ibisevic based on my "dammit..." comment? lol.. I mean i don't want him to start for us(because it's proven over and over that it doesn't work) but why wouldn't i be happy for him scoring goals?
Comes down to the manager to get the best out of his players. I wonder if any of our managers ever reached out to club managers of where our players play and ask them for their opinions on pros and cons to the player.
Hard to do with us since he's second fiddle to Edin and Edin always starts in the lead striker role... Have we ever played a full match with Vedo as our lone striker in a 4-2-3-1? Just wondering...
I think what Plavo and others are frustrated with is that it seems when he puts on the Bosnian shirt that his abilities seem to greatly diminish. He can't seem to do any of the basic things, pass, shot, control the ball, etc., while at his club its a completely different story(not that last season at Stuttgart though). Sometimes I feel with our players that they get this anxiety and put so much pressure on themselves to perform for country that they completely psych themselves out.
Maybe I didn't word it well. He might play the position (striker) in the NT, but practically never the role he plays with his club. Edin plays that role in the NT, in the box feeding on all kinds of crosses and passes.
