I like Gallardo btw, Great style of play, young, and knows Ligue 1. Mancini 2nd choice. Just say no to Rudi Garcia and Laurent Blanc.
The emergence and rise of Nice & Toulouse as the title contender for the Ligue 1 this season perhaps ?
Great to see TFC and Nice doing so well. Surprised Monaco couldn't beat Toulouse. They are a title contender as well. Figured they would have taken 3 points today after blowing out Metz. PSG squeak a 2-1 victory Going to try and catch Bordeaux Rennes tomorrow. Too bad Lyon have so many injuries. Could have been a contender too
Big news, guys. Seydoux is out at Lille. The rumor just popped up a few days ago and I saw people laughing it off and BAM its done.
So weird seeing Olympique Marseille owned by an American but maybe now they start playing matches in the US and marketing themselves over here finally.
Luis Campos goes to Lille and Not Marseille. http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actu...rard-lopez-candidat-au-rachat-de-lille/738417 Hmmm maybe Gerard Lopez > Frank McCourt.
It is officially Rudi Garcia ! http://www.ligue1.com/ligue1/article/garcia-handed-marseille-mission.htm Marseille have announced that Rudi Garcia has signed on as head coach, replacing Franck Passi at the helm just days after the club's sale to Frank McCourt and days out from the first Classique of the season. Olympique de Marseille announced on Thursday that Rudi Garcia, 52, has signed a three-year contract with the southern giants that takes immediate effect - meaning that the former LOSC and AS Roma boss will be on the bench at the Parc des Princes when the first Classique of the season between OM and arch-rivals Paris Saint-Germain takes place on Sunday night.
Its a good hire to build the project and gain stability. If Bielsa goes to Lille it will be more chaotic over there with their project.
So happy to see Marseille pick up a point off of Paris. I was nervous going in, what with the fact that Garcia only had two training sessions with the squad. How he used that time to pick out Rolando again for a five-man defense, I don't know, but it paid off. I excited to see where he goes with this...
Ishak Belfodili hasnt done better and neither has Farès Bahlouli. Yassine Benzia hasnt been setting the world on fire at Lille. Same with Mehdi Zeffane at Rennes.
Going back even further, there is Bryan Bergougnoux who is now 33 and currently plays for Tours (Ligue 2.) Born in Lyon and didnt exactly explode after leaving OL. 21 caps for France under 21, for whatever reason had a ho hum average pro career.
^ Hopefully they can keep their momentum up and the title race going, would make Ligue 1 very much interesting to watch this season.
