I was looking for someone to blame on that one. Overall they all got caught. He's slow, at this point I'm not going to critique him for that. There's nothing really to do about it.

What a monster. Teams have no solution to this defense. Try to cross it in to meet an almost 2m tall Gonzalez. Try playing low and meet the best ground defender in the league Murillo.

    Pachuca are 3-0-0 BTW.

You could put Rosenberry and Brooks around him. That's pretty close.

Poor Jose Torres never gets a thread bump anymore. Still only 28, started 4 of 5 games for Tigres and was part of this victory of Pachuca.

Does Gignac's success in Mexico say more about him or more about the quality of Liga MX and Ligue 1?

Last season he didn't have any direct competition. His problem this season is that both Lopez and Aguirre are able to take on the right wingback role if Medina is needed as a CB. Not to mention Venegas can take his spot as well. They're really trying to push him and Esquivel into the main squad.

But. It's one bad game. We had them last season as well. The Olympians have had a chaotic schedule and I expect they won't be in form for at least one more week. Also, our "striker" who's filling in for Jara doesn't belong anywhere near the first division. Disgrace that he was bought to come onto a team that just won the title.

i wonder if that's an actual worthy gameplan or literally the sign of giving up ala a goalkeeper coming up for a corner in the last mins of a game

CBs are usually tall and good in the air, so it's a solid desperation gamble.

Robo-Bob used to do it with the USMNT & Goodson.

AC Milan actually used him more frequently as a forward than a defender.
