Lyon are in arguably worse shape after selling Umtiti, their only real on field leader. Didier Roustan was talking about that lack of leadership in his videoblog last week and this week he was proved right. Gonalons is a shit captain, could have broken that guy's leg. And the way they completely fell apart after the red card was telling. Aulas not wanting to spend any money on a backup striker for Lacazette and Genesio telling the press he had no choice but to play him against Bordeaux.

There's plenty of ex Ligue 1 players who are free agents that they can sign as a backup for Lacazette. Adebayor, Chamakh, Sessegnon, Modiga Maiga, Jeremie Aliadire, Berbatov.

Well, last week, both PSG and Lyon dropped points, and Marseille won...

This week: PSG 1-1 Saint Etienne / Lyon 1-3 Bordeaux

    An omen?:)

Lille 1-4 Monaco. Seydoux ********ing sucks. Sold his best player to Southampton lol. At least Monaco sells its best players to big clubs. Time for the Chinese, Arabs, or Americans to take over Lille. Seydoux is a joke.

Very excited for Nice vs Marseille. Should be a fantastic atmosphere. 2 clubs on the rise with their wealthy American and Chinese owners. Should be an even better rivalry for years to come. Also Orange Velodrome and Allianz Riviera, 2 fantastic stadiums.

Mario tries to take his penalty and idiot Gomis gets in front of him and Mario shoves him out the way while Gomis taunts him. Great stuff.

One of the Chinese owners was sitting next to JP Rivere in the luxury box. You can see him celebrating after Cyprien's goal.

What was up with Gomis after he scored the PK. Were the ultras on his case?

After the game, that's the most I've ever seen Mario smile. He never acted like that in Italy or England. I just hope he doesn't do something stupid and actually stays engaged the whole season. I don't think Favre would put up with much foolishness.

BTW, Favre has Nice playing entertaining football.

They werent on his case. Thats his 'panther' celebration. I think he's supposed to be 'clawing' the net or something.

Honestly, it's different pressures. In Italy, he had to face an insane amount of racism, as well as being considered a "fake Italian". He lashed out because he was young and had an enormous amount of pressure put on him to succeed at an early age. In England, the pressure was always going to be big because of the amount spent on him, plus his salary. When he went back to Milan, he performed well (30 goals in 54 games is amazing for a league like Serie A), but his agent buzzed in his ear again about more money (and Milan couldn't really afford to keep him anyway), so he moved on to Liverpool where he really shouldn't have gone. He went back to Milan on loan, but they were complete dumpster fire by then and there was nothing he could do.

I'm a big fan of Mario's. I'm really glad he went to Nice because I think he'll be in a more comfortable environment, and a more accepting one. The pressures won't be as great, and he'll be on a smaller spotlight, so I think he'll be able to relax and play his game. Just watching him play on Sunday, he looked like he was enjoying himself so much. It was great to see. Mario is still going to be Mario, and he might do something foolish or silly, but I don't think it'll be blown out of proportion. I also think he'll be given the chance to grow up and mature at Nice, something he does need to do, and I think he'll flourish. I really believe this was the best move for both him and Nice.

I think hes the best of a pretty mediocre lot (free ex L1 strikers.) Chamakh I dont think fits their profile. Didnt think they'd go for Klose because of no L1 connection.

L'Equipe is saying Lyon are cancelling on Adebayor, despite the fact that he already boarded the plane from Togo. Woops!

What happened to the Olympique Lyon medical staffs? Why they always been hit by the injuries bugs?

Seem like they always having problem getting everyone out on the park at the same time, last time I check Alexandre Lacazette, Nabil Fekir, Mathieu Valbuena, Christophe Jallet and Clement Grenier all have been out and sidelined by injuries.

It sucked. Nice were terrible. I think without Belhanda they are not good and he didnt start. Schalke had way more posession but very poor finishing.
