Asia is too far. Europe is 6-8 hours so you fall asleep on the plane and wake up and you are all set. No jet lag or at least for me. My wife didn't sleep on the plane and took her 2 days to adjust to the change. Korea tho felt spent 2.5 days getting use to the time each way and 2 days flying. Was cool to go to Korea and Japan but 2 weeks isn't enough time. I want to go to Chendu in China you can hug a panda for $50

I will be in Bogota, Medellin, Pereira, and Sahagun(la costa sabanera) in December. The only thing that's guaranteed is that I will eat Mondongo and suero de queso. Anybody know of any good local places to eat in those places?
I created a demon of a thread. Everytime I'm at work I try really hard to avoid this thread before my lunch break. It gives me strong hunger attacks!!
In Bogota go to Andres Carne de Res at Hacienda Santa Barbara... Lots of good food and not very expensive. I usually go for Crepes and Waffles and Hamburguesas El Corral too, but I don't know if that is your stuff. Bonga del Sinu is good too.
I've never had a hamburger in Colombia. I'm almost hesitant considering that it's ground meat from many parts of the animal. I understand that beef in Colombia is actually pretty good and most of it farmed locally? My concern is where does the other % come from? Also, folks always make a note to claim we eat ANTS! Now I know this is a delicacy of some kind? But in Palmira the Ants I saw I stomped! ....so what's the deal with the freakin' ants?
Good stuff! I have a friend who's addicted to it. We don't hang out very often any more, but every now and then he invites me to lunch and most often then not is to have Pho
Never heard of hormigas culonas? They eat them in Santander. I had them once in Bogotá, they're not bad. As for hamburgers, not sure where you've been going, but they're just ground beef.
crepes and waffles is great . tried it at the Bogota airport while I waited for my flight to Cali years ago
I remember I had El Corral in Bogota. I forgot was part of the city but it was a fancy El Corral next to a very known park ..I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
