Our formation is not set up to attack honestly... afraid of the SK counter so there's only ever Sun Ke and Wu Lei up top.
I doubt that'll happen though. He has defensive work rate that I don't think Gao will want to give up. Sun Ke is more likely to come off.
In theory I understand why Gao went for this 5-3-2 formation, he wanted a really tight defence which can counter-attack. The problem is that in choosing Sun Ke and Wu Lei as his two attackers he's chosen two players who are too similar, fast dribblers. He should of gone for a strike partnership that complemented each other such as Gao Lin and Wu Lei, which would of given you strength and speed.
2-0 now, poor defending by Ren Hang and Lee Chungyong scores off a header of all things. More positive start this half though.
We can give him the benefit of the doubt and say that for all we know it could be to rest Zhang Linpeng or something but at this stage we might as well go for broke and try for a goal. WCQs shouldn't be for resting players lol. If it's performance based he was far from the worst defender. Our Bogie Man Yu Hai scores, 3-1.
Sun Ke has been invisible for the last 10 minutes, might have nothing left in the tank. Feel like we should be subbing him off for Gao Lin or Zhang Xizhe
