He's listed with the first team: http://www.fcaugsburg.de/cms/website.php?id=/index/profis/team.htm&pid=139 and is in the 16-17 team photo (third row, fifth from left): Some interesting stuff on his team profile (Google Translated):
If I'm reading this correctly, Augsburg has both extended his contract and loaned him to Nürnberg: Der 1.
doesn't really seem like he was trending in the right direction with Augsburg even before the injury, so like a bunch more of our guys over there, might as well see if he's anything in 2BL.
????? I still didn't see it. I see it's some kind of riff on an American flag, but I can't read the writing.
He does a quick hello video on the club site (in German): http://d39ohbrbjhijmd.cloudfront.ne..._7a8430b3ba33707/48154pre_49bf149251120ce.mp4
I didn't expect you to be a fashionista (I'll admit I looked at the picture a few times without noticing the flag)
@bungadiri @Friedel'sAccent can we get a temporary thread title change: Shawn Parker on loan at FC Nürnberg
Started in a friendly today: Und so spielt der #FCN gegen die @Schanzer: Kirschbaum, Brecko, Mühl, Bulthuis, Sepsi, Parker, Behrens, Kempe, Leibold, Matavz, Burgstaller.— 1. FC Nürnberg (@1_fc_nuernberg) September 1, 2016 Played 72. From the Twitter feed, looks like he was quite active. 72.: Parker goes from the field. Kane comes for him. Neat appearance of the new entry, especially in half-time one. #fcn #fcifcn
Have you seen the American flag? I think you may be wrongly generalizing a false theory of why the flag is backward on military uniforms.
Nah, the poster is correct. The shirt is oriented incorrectly. When the flag is displayed in a manner other than by being flown from a staff, it should be displayed flat, whether indoors or out. When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window it should be displayed in the same way, that is with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.
Huh. Apologies to First Star. I had never noticed that when a flag is printed vertically, it's not only rotated 90 degrees, but also (usually) topologically turned over. That's kind of great.
Yep. It is "backwards" (so to speak) on the arm patch on military uniforms because it is meant to represent a standard-bearer carrying the colors into the wind (think of civil war paintings of combat). Always happy to talk on this subject- it can get quite arcane. I don't really get too worked up- it's a Micky Mouse shirt (and I think it's pretty cool). More embarrassing is the ad campaign for Keifer Sutherland's new show "Designated Survivor" which is all over billboards and has the American flag backwards. Keifer's Canadian so I doubt he cares but you'd think a major US network channel could get that right.
