My wife went as a teenager tells me it was very depressing. Today though its more of a museum and is very different than it was...(though frankly, I'd rather there be no trace of what happened there).
I haven't traveled as much as I want but I would like to touch base in every continent. Truth is that the world is amazing and there are so many places, people, food, memories... Not traveling in this time and age is really passing on the best you can do with your spare time...
i had some good pinchos and a dish very similar to sobrebbariga colombiana.....i would like to spend more money in pinchos, but i was saving money. nice greetings of that nights over there
I think i passed by San Sebastian, but im not sure.. When i first arrived to Spain, i was at Madrid.. then i had to take a train for 8 hours, to arrive at Murcia.. I was about 12 years old, when i went to Spain.
well, yeah. I've always been sensitive to the holocaust. I guess I just want to see what its like in person. Everyone I know says its incredibly depressing.
i dont think so.....maybe salamanca?....san sebastian is in the north, near the border with france.......
maybe, im not sure.. i remember being on the train and looking at the window.. i saw mostly Crops and Country side.. but no trees.. Then i fell asleep for most of the ride, until we arrived at Murcia.. my mother had to wake me up. I remember once we were at Murcia, we went to the city of Torre Pacheco.. I have cousins that live in Torre Pacheco, that's the reason why we went to Spain in the first place.
i was about 11 or 12 years old when i went to Spain.. but now that im older, i wanna go back there.. but this time i wanna explore more places.. I didn't really get to see any Landmarks and Attractions during my visit, because i was in my Cousin's Crappy neighborhood.. EDIT: to keep this thread on topic, i remember eating at two restaurants.. the first one was a Chinese restaurant and the second one was a Spanish Restaurant that served Authentic food from Spain.. the Chinese place was funny, because the Chinese waiters spoke spanish, and that was the first time i ever heard Chinese People speak perfect Spanish.. i was very young and Ignorant at the time, so everything was funny to me.. I told the Waiter i wanted some ketchup, but he didn't understand what i was saying.. then i realized, ''Ketchup'' is a english word.. so i told him ''Yo quiero salsa de tomate'' and he finally understood what i was saying..
I went there in high school. If you have jewish roots you can go for free(in high school maybe college too). Pretty nice only thing that was weird is if you get on the palastinian side its not as nice(not being racist its just like O, I'm in the hood now kind of thing). Also like Colombia the police have huge guns but noticed that in europe too. Think its just in the US other then NYC do the police carry AK machine guns. They started following us when we did a Jesus walk. Like for a long time but other friends who been to Israel told me they had similar experiences and the police just protect tourist.
lol @ "Jesus walk" yes, that unstable thing is what worries me but I'd be lying if I said I knew anything about those places.
Dude it's like Colombia or any other place. Don't look for trouble and you won't find it. Go to Mexico and Colombia all the time never had anything sketchy other then 1 time a bunch of armed dudes stopped our bus and checked everyone in Colombia.
For dinner last night we had rib-eye steaks pan seared on a cast iron pan. Thick, juice, tender. Seasoned only with sea salt and ground pepper. Every bite was as symphony of flavors. I think about vegetarians and what they're missing, and I there is no way in heaven or hell that I could ever become a vegetarian. But if that's your thing, good luck to you.
Es bueno tener conciencia animal , una dieta sana y tus convicciones son muy respetables . Pero no te prives de tu libertad , a hacer excepciones no te va a hacer una mala persona . Lo digo por que conozco varios amigos que lo dejaron de ser
Thanks for the good luck.. The reason i just became a Vegetarian, is because i am an Animal Lover.. and i don't like the mistreatment of animals.. I am against animal Cruelty
