I don't think it's about a lack of athleticism. There are many sports where a specific kind of athleticism isn't needed. Genetically, we aren't that much different from Serbs and Croats, but they somehow produce great individual athletes consistently. Where's our great high jumper? Where's our great weightlifter? As someone said above, it's probably a combination of mentality and culture. We tend to produce young people that either pursue soccer or nothing else. As you said, with so many thousands of Bosnian Americans going to American high schools with their world class facilities, it's strange that we haven't produced one world class athlete, besides maybe Ibisevic (and that's a stretch there). There's something about us that prevents us from being better, but I don't think inherent genetic limitations is the reason. And then we produce someone with potential (Tuka), he doesn't produce when it matters the most. All the wins he had last year at track meets will be forgotten. You have to perform when it matters most.

Look at Serbia, their women's volleyball team beat the United States, even though volleyball is played at every high school, every college in the United States, and the pool is much much larger than Serbia. But Serbia, due to their strong sports culture (particularly in team sports) can overcome the inherent disadvantages against much larger nations.

This drives me crazy because we should have produced one world class athlete just randomly over time. But we can't even stumble on one.

It's the complete lack of women in sports in Bosnia that is worrying. Serbia and especially Croatia obviously have had amazing female athletes over the years, Slovenia with Tina Maze, Montenegro with their handball team who finished 2nd last Olympics and were European champions in 2012, now Kosovo and their gold medalist Majlinda Kelmendi.

It wont change when this current generation use all their free time on Facebook, Viber(or "vajber"), Instagram and trash reality/singing shows on television.

I dont think it's wrong to say that Bosnians in general are more lazy than Serbs and Croats. Novak Djokovic and Luka Modric are products of hard work.

I have no problem with that, personally I don't at all care for the olympics. Most sports are irrelevant(or hardly sports), the best players don't even show for the important sports like basketball or soccer.

Yeah they are a lot more ambitious. How many times in this forum have we complained about potential of our soccer players and how they could move to much better clubs? Most times they just stay the same, satisfied with the little they accomplished.

Mate, the thing is we arent even good at the "important sports" like football and basketball. Couldnt even qualify for a 24-team Euros tournament where a bunch of fishermen reached the last 8.

Oh come on, Sudzuka, if we had a world class badminton player and she was hot, you'd wake up in the middle of the night to watch her matches. :p

ATP) i Mirza Bašić (154.

This is creepy. They basically all choked. I thought it was only Tuka, but it's everyone.
