CYOA Game

Alright folks, one day the football Gandalf appears before you, and states that you will lead your national team to the 2018 World Cup finals.

Like any world cup finals entry, you must bring 23 players (3 goalkeepers required). But here's the catch: you have 3 WILD CARD slots to use.

For a wild card entry, you may

A) Select a foreign player of any nationality (EXCEPT C. Ronaldo and L. Messi) to play for your national team. These players will have optimum chemistry with the rest of the team (don't worry about language issues, etc.)

You cannot select a foreign player who is retired/dead as of July 2016 and beyond.
They must have not retired from international football.

AND/OR

B) Select a player of the nationality of your team, but has retired from international football/club football/dead.

***You can mix and match to fill the 3 wild card slots, as the "and/or" suggests.
