The refs basically scrutinized every little thing the Germans did and gave the hosts the benefit of the doubt the entire match. That penalty call was as soft as the non-call on Muller earlier.

Why are you German fans so butthurt? You won the world cup 2 years ago and in 2 years you will still be called world champions.. deal with it

Now that things have settled down for me, my main problem is the manager and his staff. Since 2006 when Low took over, this talented group of players have never played to their potential under this man. He gets his tactics wrong too often and if it wasn't for the talent that Germany has, his ass would have been exposed. Since 2010 Germany has had the best squad in all competitions and he has only managed to win one tournament. What a waste. His horrible decision making(didn't bring a backup to Gomez), and his inability to mentally prepare his players for big games should not go unnoticed. People will say, oh well he won the world cup...oh well, this squad is the most talented in German history and should have at least a world cup and a European championship under its name. This team has choked far too many times under Low.

Because we really could have won this match if it wasn't for Loew relying on just Gomez to play as a striker. In the end, he was the only one that brought their finishing boots to the tourney. Mueller, Goetze, Oezil and Draxler all played the passing-to-each-other game. It's not butt-hurt as much as it is frustration.

As far as being World Cup Champs...you are right, it was two years ago. Today is about today.

Who would you have liked him to bring to France? I think Deschamps made a very, very poor team selection, so I understand the frustration. I think we could have been a lot better during the whole tournament if he had brought certain players instead of others. Of course it's easier to deal with if you're winning, but at the end of the day, it is frustrating when you feel like you don't have your best team possible. It's much harder to digest than simply not being good enough.

If it were up to you, would you have someone else take charge?

I'll support Portugal on Sunday even they played a kind of boring tourney. Only reason for this is that Platini gave France the 3rd time the Euros. Spain, England and Germany only hosted it one time, other countries like Czech R. or Denmark never hosted. I don't like these corrupt people to "succeed", sorry to the french team...

    Yeah seriously ,

Do people realize if France win this 75% of
Their trophies will have been won on home soil? What kinda garbage is that

But whatever it takes for Ronaldo or Portugal not to win

Maybe this Portugal team isn't that fun to watch but they get the job done it's a 10 million person country that have the sport names like Eusebio, Coluna , futre , Figo , Rui Costa etc even its clubs won more champions leagues than France

I beleive karma and destiny is intervening to give Portugal this cup. God had always been with us and I beleive it's our turn to be rewarded.

Just like Brazil lost its first World Cup final that was supposed to be in the bag in 1950 at home soil then went on to beat the host nation to win its first World Cup in Sweden 1958 ,
Portugal will do the same after 2004 - both teams beat Wales too lol

7th euro for Portugal 2 quarter finals 3 semi finals 2 finals - about time we win this damn thing . It's the lucky number 7 for Portugal .

The French will be overconfident thinking they won already and how they always beat us but Portugal will be humble and grind out a win at all costs . Portugal will do whatever it takes to win , our pain will end on Sunday we have veterans who experienced 2004 , 2006 etc and a mix of youth and we have the best European player of this generation we are ready to shock the world

We're not overconfident and we are not thinking we already won. Not even close. I think it could go either way.

The bolded parts make your statement pretty funny.

(by the way, it's kinda weird that you're trying to frame it as if winning on home soil is somehow a bad thing)

    Well France seems
To host tournaments quite a bit more frequently than any other nation

Which country would you have liked to host instead? Out of the countries that actually bid, obviously.

did either of these countries bid for the tournament?

in any case neither is close to having the infrastructure necessary, especially at 24 teams, or has any year in year out reason to put it in place.

next euro will be hostless precisely to give countries like that a chance to host some matches. corrupt platini's idea.

Turkey, Italy and Sweden/Norway were bidding. Don't remember why countries like Spain, England or Germany didn't go for it. Possibly because they knew they had no chance against France even they only had it once? Well, I have my opinion on this matter but I cannot prove anything ;-)

There are a lot of "gentlemen" agreements with these bids. It's not that they knew if they went against France, they had no chance. It is because they knew that France had prenegotiated the bid - just like all bids occur...you have allies. The whole biding in for the 2014 bid and Jack Warner and the Oceana vote that, many say, secured Germany's bid in 2006.

This shit happens all the time.

Could you please elaborate? I mean this has been the best tournament in terms of refereeing decisions in a long time. I can hardly think of any serious controversial decisions. Please elaborate on how this is rigged?
