I hoped to see the match between England - Republic of Ireland somehow. It would be interesting to see this match, if they both could pass further, especially since some players of Irish descent play in English team: Rooney, Kane, Cahill. One big team goes home... Every opponent needs to be in fear of this.
Probably would be Group E. The Belgians and the Italians put forward great performances, while even the Irish I thought played brilliantly against the hosts. Iceland did manage a great performance, but this game lacked a real English fight. Just never felt like they ever really recovered from the shock of the quick equalizer and to their credit the Icemen managed the game beautifully from there.
There will always be an Engla That's you're not your it's a contraction of you and are. Learn your own language above the 3rd grade level
Usually when a small team beats a big team with an early goal the final several minutes tend to be a nail biting experience with the small team hanging on for dear life. After Iceland went up I never really felt scared for them. It was all rather comfortable. England did less against Iceland than they did against Slovakia.
Now England also knows how it feels when you lose from Iceland. We even lost 2 times from them in the qualifying group and didn't make it to go to France. (Netherlands) Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
Croatia played draw in Iceland, with victory against them in Croatia, but it was very hard, all 11 players behind the ball. This was in additional qualifications for Brazil 2014.
Poor poor play from England. Coach going is the first step, but whoever comes in needs to tackle the negative attitude that lingers among fans and players if theyre gonna ever have any success.
