I have Fios and I get BeIN n (I don't know how to type the Spanish accent mark), which I didn't used to get. Is there a free preview or a change in Fios's channel packages? I get many channels, but I don't pay for a Spanish package. I don't want to watch much of what BeIN n shows, but I would watch it occasionally if I could. The 2015-2016 league seasons are over, so I decided to start a 2016-2017 topic.

Alt+type "164" on the numeric keypad (with num lock on) in Windows.

Or just cut and paste ñ from a webpage that uses it (like this one now).

And Alt+0163 is £ -- so with those two short cuts you're all set in soccer business conversations :)

A few months ago, beIN renegotiated with Verizon to make their stationa available to more customers....beIN (English) was added to those with Extreme and above and beIN-ñ added to those with Ultimate (as well as the Sports Pack). Almost all the games on beIN-ñ are available via SAP.

If you want to get the SAP for this channel and have a traditional box, you must first turn on the "Audio Selection" feature (default is off) through the menu: Menu>Settings>Audio & Video>Audio>Audio Selection>Enable.

Once enabled, use the PIP button (bottom center on remote) to switch to English. If you switch channels, when you return you have to repress PIP to get English. This will also get you the English audio for the Friday MLS games on UniMas or Univision Deportes.

I see bein got Monaco-Fenerbache second leg on August 3. I bet they get a Europa League game next week also. West Ham and St. Etienne look the most appealing options.

With the confirmation that La liga will eliminate 4 pm ET weekend games and introduce a 7:00 am ET Saturday game starting this September, can we start speculating how bein will approach this for their tv channels. I'm saying this because they rarely aired live 6 am ET Sunday games or 6:30 serie A games, so I am not sure if they will televise every single one.

I like this change because I normally start my days early and by 4 pm I'm too spent to watch another game. The only annoying thing is that PL moved up its starts to 7:30, so I can't get in the first half of la liga before they start. Anyway, more soccer while the wife is asleep is huge bonus :D

BeIN connect with a bang-up start to the season - wanted to watch Bordeaux-St Etienne on BeIN4, instead they're showing beach soccer.

The Connect schedule has been way off. They've got Montpellier/Angers on Channel 4, but it's actually on Channel 3. Also, none of the Ligue 1 matches on Connect have any commentary. The Ligue 1 commentators are some of the best in the business, especially when they translate halftime and post match interviews from French into English, so it sucks that we're not getting any commentary. I hope it's not going to be like this all season for matches on Connect.

There is French commentary on the 2nd Audio Channel ("SPA"). I know it isn't what you want but.....

Wait, how do you get SAP on Connect? I'm watching on an iPad, and I don't see an option for it? Is it only if you're watching on PC?

Also, I'll take broadcasting in a language I don't speak rather than listen to anything the Miami guys say.

Sorry I can't help you with the iPad version (hopefully somebody can chime in). On the PC version, there is a button on the bottom of the screen that defaults to "ENG". You simply click on it and select "SPA" and you get the secondary audio channel. All events on beINConnect have 2 audio channels active. Most of the time they are both the same but looking at their schedule, I see that pretty much all English Championship matches have what they call "Int'l Sound" on the 2nd audio channel. Most Ligue-1 matches have it as well. La Liga (at least for next weekend's opening round) do NOT have different audio on the 2 channels. But from experience I can tell you that those rare Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid matches that are not live on beINSport-1 (only on beINSport-ñ) always offer the English and Spanish audio for the matches.

So, today's Championship fixture seems to be on ñ today. Which means I'll probably not be able to see it as it's not on any of the other 9 channels, or being replayed on American beIN. Is this a regular occurance with games in general or the Championship in particular? Didn't have access as wide back in '09-'10.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Today's EFL match on ñ is a replay of Saturday's Wigan-Blackburn match, which aired live on the main channel. The midweek rounds are rarely if ever televised domestically or internationally.

I always seem to have major issues with beIN connect. Always get an error when I try on my iphone and then on the desktop I think it only worked in certain browsers. Drives me nuts.

I've found connect to work best on IE, which makes sense as both IE and Silverlight are Microsoft products.

I don't have any big issues with Connect on Firefox (or iOS app). If at first you don't succeed, refresh and refresh again to get the stream to kick in.

So watching the Juve-Fiore match and Tancredi Palmeri is doing the color commentating.

It sounds horrible. His English is worse than my Italian. He takes a while to say one sentence.
(But I can't stop listening. It is great.)

Folks with problems connecting to Connect might try the Chromecast thing. I don't have one of those because Wifi is crap in my apartment compared to wired and I don't have any more HDMI slots on my TV. I wish they would add Roku; that would be a good add. But then again, this is a network that is trying to figure out how much they can shrink games rather than working on technology. First 90in60 then 90in30 and soon will be 90in5.

Connect not working on Chrome might hinder that a bit. And I don't think the beIN Sports app plays with Chromecast.

Oh good. I might try that myself since The Championship is going to be on beIN 3-10 more often than not this season.

Thanks for the tip. I had constant errors in half a dozen browsers and practically forgot IE existed. I just downloaded Silverlight and it works like a charm. HD picture, smooth stream both within the browser and through Chromecast.

So one of the EFL Cup games on connect was going to extra time, and the transmission ended before extra time started. Switched to a screen that "there is currently no event scheduled on this channel."
