I agree, and now the Asian Cup is adopting the same system as well.

Feel sorry for him, but his penalty was absolutely awful lol. I'm happy for Chile on the other hand, a very good team that deserves to win the cup again.

Worst performance I've ever seen from an England team, and I watch all England matches. Honestly most of our players looked drunk. Couldn't even string a few passes together, let alone meaningful ones. Everything was wrong in this tournament, from the squad selection, to the subs, to the tactics, to the players themselves. Harry Kane taking corners? Hodgson should have been sacked in 2014 when we finished bottom of the World Cup group. Two embarrassing tournaments in a row now. I'm supporting Wales in this tournament from now on, as I have partly Welsh heritage

If he actually follows through, it's a huge loss for football. Can't imagine Russia 2018 without Messi.

Feel terrible for him. 3 lost finals in a row and all the blame falls on him. It's insane how a team full of superstars like Argentina completely shuts down whenever they reach a final and expect Messi to do everything. Chile had 4-5 players on Messi whenever he got the ball, and he still never gave it away cheaply and created many chances, but his teammates let him down. At Barca, if he is marked like that, he can always expect Neymar, Suaraz, even Rakitic or Alba to be open in dangerous positions, taking advantage of the extra space. With Argentina, the likes of Di Maria, Aguero and Higuain were completely static. He was the best player on the pitch against Chile, but once again his teammates and coach let him down.

The difference between Messi and Maradona is Jorge Valdano.

Conte is a tactical master. He is absolutely ten times more complicated than Mourinho, he will challenge for EPL this season. Meanwhile, I feel sorry for Messi. All the pressure on him and I don't think he has the will and confidence to carry on no more.
