right, because we (South American) are newbies to the game...

You really should check the laws of the game before posting.

Intentionally kicking ISN'T a automatic red, it will depend:

    1) If the ref thinks is a kick to the opponent he has to judge the intensity of the kick as: carelessly, recklessly or with excessive force. ONLY excessive force (serious foul) gets a red.

    2) If ref thinks it's Violent action

Kicking while falling, as I said, is light so at most they could a yellow if ref judges the play as reckless.

IMHO Jones had the intention to hit Quadrado, thus in my view it was a violent play which asks for a red card.

Here is a link to a Fifa presentation about rules 12 even newbies should be able to understand it

For those of use are ref's, we are familiar with intentional kicks after the play. Those are VC and red cards

First time I've ever heard that chant on goal kicks.

I hope we never play there again. Clearly the people in that stadium lack manners. Our fans don't have that reputation, but that can change in a hurry.

Colombia were better in the final third - we wasted our chances to pull level.

This was a whole lot better than the Argentina game.

No, you South Americans tend to be Trump style homers who say all kinds of nonsense and think that even a Bolivian paraplegic is a better player than any Ametican because they grew up in a country in the general proximity to Messi's home country

    Orozco is dumb.

The smart player gets a light headbutt and flops on the ground and wins an 11v10 situation. He's not a smart player, so he does something utterly stupid.

All I know is that in 2 games in this tournament Colombia scored 3 gols to the USMNT 0 and won both games.

Actually I think Argentina would make many teams look that inept, If Argentina played Brazil (the team that went to this Cup or even our A team) it would be ugly for Brazil.

I actually didn't mind this game. The tactics were acceptable, they just were better technicians and manufactured the result. 0-1 was fair. It's good to compete against a top 10 side, but we're not going to BEAT these teams until better players come around.

Of course they did just like they have in every game we have ever played them even though we have a 13-3-3 versus them.

We have players that half-arsed this whole tournament.

It would be disturbing if Colombia lost this game on the balance of what Pekerman has vs. what Klinsmann has.

    dude, seriously?!!

I hope you are running high with a game you had a lot to prove and Colombia made things easier to you...

My post was very specific about how I saw the plays, didn't at any point say anything about the level of US play or game...

If you are pissed at SA fans, fan are, by definition, delusional they always believe their team are better than reality. Let's just drop it.
