Hamsik and Weiss will be dangerous on the counter. We must take caution that we don't allow them to affect the game too much.

When was the last time a team won it all without conceding a single goal?

That'd be unique, but I doubt it'll happen.

So according to Opta data, three of Germany's players (Kroos, Boateng and Hector) made the their XI. How can that be? Based on the experts of this forum, this team is awful.

Just as a reminder we played Slovakia a few weeks back with this line up: Also it was raining and just a friendly ...I am 100% convinced this will be a different game.
    ---------------------Leno---------------------------
    ----Kimmich---Rudiger----Boateng----------
    Rudy--------------------------------------Hector
    ------------------Khedira-----------------------
    Sane------------Draxler---------------Goetze
    ------------------Gomez------------------------

Compared to the probable line up.

    -------------------Neuer-----------------------
    Kimmich----Boa-----Hummels-----Hector
    ----------Khedira----------Kroos-------------
    Muller--------------oezil-------------Goetze
    ----------------------Gomez------------------

If you say to any one can we add Neuer, Kroos, Muller, Hummels and Oezil to your team no one would say no!

keep the same lineup and I can safely bet 3-0 on Germany .

@boris your line up is wrong, Mueller is in the middle, not Oezil

Slovakia are the best 3rd placed team imho. Won vs Spain in qualifiers. Not going to be a high scoring game.

Media speculating if Schweinsteiger will start from now on. Who will get kicked out to allow this? Imo it's Khedira or one of the front four, especially could it hit Götze. With three midfielders (Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Khedira) one of them easily can make runs into the box and all three of them can make things possible going forward - therefore we can play without a mediocre to bad Götze. I think it's pretty much 50/50 between Khedira and Götze.

Interview Jogi gave, says that he will probably on start in the QF.. he also says though Khedira is getting better and better... So who knows....Will be good to have them all on board when we do meet with Italy/Spain/France

No screws ups in this game and we should go through.

But we need to be extremely careful from their counters

Who said that? The criticism is mainly for the tactics and selection, not the quality of most of the players.

No one is criticising Boa or Kroos, both are normally referred to as world class.

Hector is also doing a solid job, and is the only proper lb option in the squad.

Slovakia will play their catenaccio formation. Park 10 men in the middle of defence...

Can I make a bold suggestion? As you all are aware Boateng had a slight discomfort and therefore was subbed out against NIR..DFB official Twitter account posted a picture yesterday and published an article that Boatemg will be fit before Sunday...however just to avoid any risk and as he is must against Italy/Spain in QF, can we rest him and play Hummels-Howedes as CB pair against Slovakia? We should be able to beat Slovakia comfortably without Boateng IMO...also keep in mind Boateng is on a yellow and he is irreplaceable if the opponent is Italy/Spain

As against NIR Howedes came to replace Boateng so it is pretty much confirmed Low prefers Howedes over Mustafi
