De Fockert sent on a 1-year loan to VVV Venlo for match practice.

This is good news and Heerenveen should move for him.apparently Elvis Manu has declared his intrest of returning back to eredivisie after failing to break through in the first team at Brighton & Hove Albion and also at Huddersfield Town after being loaned out. Heerenveen should sell both Veerman and Te Vrede and use the money to buy Manu. Even if they have to folk some more out, I think financially they are well capable of doing that. Manu should be worth around 3-4 mills as he still has 2 years left on his contract. I don't think that sum will be a issue for Heerenveen.

They should sell both Veerman and Te Verde, get Manu and call back Pelle Van Amersfoort as his back up striker and then there is also Luka Zahovic.

That's pretty much what I've been saying for a while about te Vrede and Veerman. They both have limited ceilings and are only effective in certain situations. Although to keep this topic relative, the resources can be available if serious but I don't think Elvis Manu is really on the transfer radar for Heerenveen. Regarding the new attacking midfielder suggestion, Michel Vlap from the A1 team should be ready and worth giving a chance.

Armenteros is a Swedish forward who was originally part of the club's academy several years ago. He didn't end up making the senior team back then so he moved to Heracles, Anderlecht, Feyenoord, and Willem II. A very mediocre leveled player though, and a pretty underwhelming signing to consider. If it were to happen, he'll only be a temporary stop gap option. I don't see him as a player who will increase in ability or value that much.

More info about Kobayashi. The Japanese media compare him closely with Keisuke Honda. As they both play a similar role and position as attacking midfielder. He also has the midfield versatility to cover in both centrally and defensively. And just like Honda, he is known for his free kick taking ability. Production wise, he is on track right now to have the best season of his career with Jubilo Iwata.

Iranian international and former Heerenveen youth team player signs with the club. 2 Iranians in Eredivisie and 2 in the 2nd division. Holland is very good country for Iranian players!

Also rumours that Iranian and Almere City goalkeeper Agil Etemadi might join the club.

You mean they develop well? Do you have the idea they truly become better than they were when coming in?

Yes, for example the case of Alireza Jahanbakhsh, he played for a small team in the Iranian league and no one ever heard of him until he signed with NEC. 3 months after that he made the national team, now he is in the starting 11 of the national team, he would have not matured this way if he had not gone to Europe at early age.

Kik Pierie made his debut in Saturday's friendly against Drachtster Boys. He looks quite calm and poised with the on ball movement. Especially for a 15 year old playing alongside pro teammates. It's still a bit too early to expect he will remain with the senior team to begin the new season, but if he continues to show strides then definitely could be an option later on in 2017.

Kind of not convinced about the transfers. The only transfer out has Joey van der Berg to QPR which means they will retain the core of the squad. They needed a profilic striker and and good CM but looking at the incoming players it hard to call whether they will live up to expectation.I see Heerenveen as a team that can compete with the top three but they have to match them in every department. Kind of down beat of their chances this season again. I hope this Iranian dude has some magic otherwise this season will be another waste.with some of the talents they poses, they should be playing EL at least.

To be able to compete with the Big 3 right now is unrealistic. Finishing top 7 and chance for the Europa League should be the actual goal, just like 2 seasons ago. The reality is that Heerenveen is a club that relies on developing players and bringing in steady transfer fees to remain sustainable. Otherwise, the financial structure just isn't there to compete with PSV, Ajax, or Feyenoord. I am disappointed by how recruitment of talent has fallen though in recent years. Several players who could have been signed opted for clubs like AZ or PEC instead.

I've never been a fan of te Vrede or Veerman as the main striker options. But unfortunately due to them being so subpar, no offers have come in yet. I want to see them gone asap though. In terms of the midfield scenario, there's quite a bit of coverage already. Vd Boomen and Thorsby are still quite young and will hopefully improve further. St. Juste has appeared to embrace his new role there last season. While Thern returns from injury. Rewan Amin and Michel Vlap are showing good promise in training camp and should both be given a chance.

Pelle van Amersfoort bagged a brace in the 5-1 win versus FC Oss today. Simon Thern made his comeback after being out 8 months and scored from a penalty. Zahovic and Ghoochannejhad with the other 2 goals. Promising display from PvA, hope to see more from him.

Luka Zahovic won't be part of the team's plans for next season. He's been sent on loan back to his original club NK Maribor.

you see this is what I was saying, Heracles seal Vermij signing. if Heerenveen choke in front the goal this season they will have themselves to blame.

And I reiterate this statement. Unfortunately te Vrede and Veerman had no buyers because they're both horrible. But there's still time to give PvA an opportunity for the future.

I'm more concerned about the talents which may go to waste if they continue with last season performance and looking at the loop holes from last season which still hasn't been addressed it jus makes you wonder whats in store this season.Heracles,Utrecht and AZ are emerging teams from last season and if heerenveen again fail to finish in that top 6 there will more players who will be lost to teams like Celtic who were linked to JSJ.

Van Aken,Slagveer,Juste, they have potential to become orange material but they will not get selected unless they prove the expectations of book markers beyond the sky.this is not something new and it will always continue with current coaches at the helm.
Even at u21 level they are not getting the nod and both Juste and van Aken have only made it to the bench.

jus like zahovic, they could have loaned out Te Vrede and Vermeen. I'm sure teams like Sparta Rotterdam and waalwijk would have opted to that. Maybe this is just my thoughts but if they dont get to offload this players does this mean the team and management drag with them.

I will agree with you on Pelle Van Amersfoot,he looks like a good talent.in terms of development, yeah good for him and for the team. Looking at the overall team think they have a formidable squad and the core of the players have been together for a while . They only needed to tie the loose ends.
