Buena. Partidazo que te toco. Tuviste problemas con los Mexicanos?

Vidal out against Colombia may not be so bad. It will be interesting to see how Pizzi responds.

You are too quick to judge my friend. First losing your head over friendlies and now over an inflated victory, yes we played great, but Mexico was also shit. Sampaoli helped this team win it's first cup. There is no guarantee that we will get past Colombia. If we do, it will be a very, very tough match. Possible penalties even.

    One step at a time.

Forgot my password over the past few weeks and I finally remembered it tonight. Haha! What a tournament this has been so far. I thought we were back to the Borghi days early on. That second half against Argentina coupled with the Bolivia game was the worst we have played in quite some time. I was fortunate enough to make it up to Philly for the Panama game and watch us destroy them live. And then there was Saturday....what a show! So impressive. I expect Wednesday to be a very tough and scrappy match. I see it going to PK's. If we win, I'll definitely be going to MetLife.

The showing in Philly was amazing by the way. There had to be at least 25k Chileans there. It was my first match with my dad. 29 years in the making!

I hate to swallow my own words, but truth is, this victory we owe it to Pizzi and how he decided to stand the players which he decided to use. Sampaoli, as myself would've never even called Edson Puch, and well, Pizzi's choice to do so, did exactly that (this one, was his call and it paid off brilliantly)

As @posteador said in his post, "one step at a time". Pizzi did great vs. Mexico, but he has also done shit against other teams not so long before. We don't really know, if he will play the next match being sensational all along the match, or if he happens to be crappy once more, giving up the match to the opponent.

We got to wait for each match, and hope we get to see the team playing great again, but I wouldn't count on it, based on only a couple of good results. That takes more time, and Pizzi is still adjusting to this team.

In any case, I believe that Colombia now, is absolutely beatable. To me, the only team which might be out of our level, that's Argentina.

I think that overall, the Mexico win validates Chile’s position among the top five or six teams in world football because the victory was so commanding and one-sided. Mexico isn’t an elite side, but a good one, nonetheless.

This may sound a little dispassionate, but the score told me what I already knew. I enjoyed it for what it was – a win that got Chile into the semi finals – but the feeling was over when the Mexican players gave up after the third goal.

It’s important to note that Mexico has deep-rooted internal problems in the psyche of the national team. This is no secret.

Colombia is a completely different challenge.

In CA 15, only penalties separated Argentina from Colombia, and later Argentina from Chile. These three are more even than many people think.

This will be a good test on which Pizzi can be rated for his tactical knowledge and player management. It’s the first real test, in my view.

    Don't be so cocky, dude.

Del tipo Uruguay, Argentina, Holanda and so on.
