Bradley was asking for that card all game. R held up a restart at least once to warn him about his dissent, and Bradley just kept pushing. Of course he collected the card.
I missed a chunk of the 2nd half for a visit to the playground with the kids, but from what I saw, I can't say the fouls he called were unwarranted. If the teams keep committing fouls, you can't very well ignore them in an attempt to get some flow to the game.
Or he called the match very tightly like many SA refs call. Its up to the players to adjust. We've had this problem before in Confed Cup and WC 2006.
There was definitely some inconsistencies. I could justify all the fouls and cards on the US but it wasn't called that way for Paraguay in the 2nd half. I understand the frustration. And again, when the Paraguay player tackled Wood from behind, going through the legs to try to get the ball....that was a textbook red, no?
