The city of Seattle limited that USA v Panama match to under 41K due to traffic concerns because the Mariners were playing at the same time that night.
Interesting. Just checked the Mariners schedule... looks like they're on an extended road trip. Phew. Brings up an interesting question: Do you think the Copa organizing committee coordinated the venues/dates with MLB? I could imagine this, but I could also imagine MLB saying "Copa who?"
I know. That is another reason why I think this will have more people. It is not every day Seattle get's to host a US National Team match and those who were sent home last time may want to go this time.
Actually Peru "handled" business. As for Brazil, how do you say "Sacked in the Morning" in Portuguese?
I find myself in much the same situation. I was born in the US, but my grandparents came from Italy. My wife's parents are from Germany (and they were married in Germany ON THE DAY of the 1966 WC final -- by all accounts it put a damper on the festivities). I also lived for 4 1/2 years in England.
In the 2010 and 2014 World Cups (including qualifying), the United States won a total of 14 one-goal victories. It has closed out close games before.
