Looks like a poor decision on the replay but would need to see one more time to be sure. He has just been hit and his hands are near the body. Sanchez very honestly did not appeal for the penalty (he is running for the corner), and he was the only Chilean that had a good view of it. I could see the ref thinking it over and I thought Sanchez's lack of appeal would sway him, but it didn't.

 

It's a tough call. The guy was trying to hide his hand behind the back. His elbow was out a little bit, but you can't make your arm disappear. But the truth is that Bolivia got lucky twice with no penalty, they weren't going to escape 3 times.

 

Referees 2. Fair play 0

Wow, that goal would have been in the 101st minute had Bolivia scored it!

There are going to be some arguments here at the final whistle...

Chile finally able to score via a PK, after really failing to penetrate a very bunkered Bolivia

Bolivia played the way they could considering the rival (Chile is much better and much attacking side) that is bunkering.

Chile played HORRIBLY wasting all their chances, having the ball all game not having any idea what to do with it, being disorganized, and completely awful in attack.

Bolivia almost tied just now.

 

Tough call... Harsh call but technically a hand ball.

The intent? Well no intent but you bunker down eventually there will be a controversial call

Terrible penalty decision. Simply not handball by the laws of the game.

 

Actually credit to the Bolivians for not going nuts at the final whistle. If that happened to Uruguay the ref would have been carried off on a stretcher.

 

Someone should check to see if Marrufo gets a jersey from Chile after the game.

 

Chile left an awful image, really disorganized, awful attack, not knowing to do with the ball, etc, etc, really dissappointing. Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Paraguay, left a very positive impression with their games. Uruguay, Chile, not so much.

Bolivia did what they could with what they got and scored probably the most beautiful goal of this tournament.

 

Oh well.. Chile 2 Bolivia 1 ... like I said earlier.. atleast Bolivia doesn't catch Goleadas up the ass, anymore.

 

I thought the foul on Sanchez earlier was a penalty, so maybe it's justice in the end anyways

 

According to Dr Joe it was a "Justified PK"

Chilean TV has already shown about 10 replays of each of their goals but only showed 1 replay of the penalty decision.
