this match is entretaining first few minutes

 

Costa Rica plays dirty and for once I'm glad. But I still have doubts on the US in general; Klinsmann's reusing the same starting lineup for the opening.

 

Are they even trying to contest the middle of the field? Seems like the Ticos are just setting up in the circle and trying shit.

Demsey almost ruined that whole thing good thing Jones saved him 2-0 USA

 

Well, this is going well for the USA. A good result for the tournament as well. You don't want the hosts losing in the group stage.

Great first half for USA. At first, it seemed that costa rica was the better side, but, omg, USA really took advantage of their chances.
The ticos started acting desperate there at some point, they were just disoriented

Costa Rica was playing much better than the USA but then it all went down hill after that PK.

Zardes ruined a lot of chances for the USA with silly play. I really don't like him starting. Jones has shown great hustle and I love the Fabian moving forward more.

 

Good decision on the penalty. If you let people get away with those dirty fouls they will keep doing them.

 

If the ticos are not careful.. this could end up a real Goal Fest in the second half!
