Costa Rica vs Paraguay [R] June 4th

Going to be interesting to see how these two teams come out to play. I really don't see many goals in the heat of Orlando and both may just want to play "not to lose". But I have been wrong before.

 

Is Costa Rica missing any key players? Haven't heard much talk about them in the build up to this tournament, despite coming off a great WC and consistently being one of the top CONCACAF sides in WC qualifying.

 

Their Keeper Navas is out. That can be a problem.

 

Out of the 3 games today, I'm looking forward to this one the most. After last night, this might be the key game to see who advances with Colombia ...

I wonder how many fans are going to be at that game. Presales haven't been good.

I will be at the Brazil/Haiti match Wednesday night.

 

I'm predicting a high-scoring goalfest in this one.... 5-4 in front of a sold-out stadium...

 

The Ticos coming out with a 5-4-1, Paraguay with a 4-2-2-2.

This is going to be another chess game, basically. Control over the midfield is at stake.

With those formations, I can see CRC taking the initiative first.

Just found this was on FOX. Never occurred to me it would be on broadcast. Man, I'm slow.

 

This is a battle. I think the Ticos are the better team, but so far Paraguay is keeping it even.
