All that says is what we already know. @Il Ciuccio asked for Sal to be banned from the Napoli board. Doesn't say anything about off website. Doesn't prove any grave conspiracies.

And for the record, posting the contents of private conversations. Without the consent of the people involved is kind of frowned upon.

That Italy forum is a mess they're not open for discussion with Outsiders that disagree with them and they resort to racist name-calling the supermode certainly have a look at that forum because whoever is moderating that should not be moderating at all.

First time a Roma poster has asked for proof of conspiracies before believing them. I'm impressed.

So you agree that it was not speculation after all?

I would frown too (no offense to you) if something we've all been saying, that ciuccio pushed for his ban because Sal told ME that Ciuccio was lying to his Napoli bros that *I* was "probably creating alts" in the Napoli section, and I then called Ciucc out to stop spreading lies because he would be well aware that I was not...if I were him or you too. I'm pretty sure that's probably frowned upon as far as mod behavior goes, am I wrong?

if they were actually pointless, wouldn't people just stop posting in them on their own?

Not when people from other forums were actively being encouraged to come and troll in them. We decided to be proactive.

    I still don't understand.

    The thread is pointless.
I come over from a forum to troll.
    Who am I trolling?

Moderators don't have to push to have someone banned from their forum. It's actually mod's choice if someone is being a problem.

that doesn't mean someone didn't push to have someone banned.

Maybe that someone didn't want their name attached to the banning due to a clear conflict of interest? I'm just spitballing here.

One things for sure, Sal has a great legal team.

I'm still waiting to know why posting a titty on an off topic forum which was covered with spoilers is ok but creating a thread with no warning about it being NSFW in a sub forum started by moderators in which adult content is posted is ok?

We're talking about a poster who was initially banned for a racist post. Shortly after he returned (with an explicit warning that more crap would cause problems quickly) from the first ban he made more racist posts, for which he was banned a second time for a longer period. Once that second ban was done, his first move was to violate the forum posting standards in a different way. He made it clear that his intent was to use the site to spar with the rules first and maybe to talk about soccer second. This site exists for people to have a place where reasonable, good natured discussion of the game is possible, so the decision about handling deliberate, persistent trolls--especially when it involves identity based attacks--is easy. Every decision to ban in this case was made by the supermoderators and none of the Italy forum mods had anything to do with any of them.

The forum you speak of is not actually a part of the site. It is not listed, it is not searchable. The only way to currently find it is if someone tags you in a post or if you know the address.

This means the forum has no affect on the advertisers which this site relies on in order to operate. Because of this the forum has more relaxed rules.

Also it's actually a hold over from the previous version of BigSoccer, which because of it's invisibility had kind of gone forgotten.

Whether or not those threads remain, now that you guys brought it to the attention of the staff, is not for me answer.

As long as it is there feel free to post there and participate.

These animals are out of control!

Ani... whoops, I better not say it. Wouldn't want to unfairly label people destroying public property something that only a pant wetting, PC, moron would construe as racist.

    Seriously, grow a dick.

Respectfully disagree. He called a group of individuals were willfully destroying parts of his city "animals". It was conveniently interpreted by the mod of that section to be racist because they happened to be individuals of color. Here's the question I ask, why did that mod decide that the comment was of their skin color and not their behavior?? The vast majority of Sal's humor or "trolling" is light hearted and mostly funny. That's why he has so much support, even from individuals outside of the Italy forums.

He's targeted all of us with his brand of humor, myself included. There are those of us that can recognize his fun and games and reciprocate and then there others who cannot and take it to another level.

In my view that's what the original mod, and current one in our section have done. One took advantage of the term used and turned it racist, the other made something that happened outside of BS personal.

It just amazes me that the opinions of those of us who know him well are being disregarded.

Sal is a "racist" shit again? You do realize that there is a difference between calling someone an animal based on appearance and calling someone an animal based on their actions, right?
