ugh! I don't wanna talk about today... On top of this my 18 year old may have torn his ACL Tuesday night...
the good news, of course, is that Cardiff City lost at Fulham. still five points clear and one game closer to the finish line.
masters of draws we are, apparently. disappointing to not be able to hold onto the 3 points today against derby. with cardiff winning, that makes next week's game huge when cardiff travel to hillsborough.
looking at the results of Cardiff, Ipswich, and Brum over the last month, this really should've been done and dusted.
I didn't have a stream and was just monitoring it via gamecast. obviously, at nil-nil, you're always going to be nervy, but you could tell it was all Wednesday, and once the first one went in (with a draw being good enough), you knew it was secure. the second and third were just icing on the cake. just a matter of which of 'boro, burnley, and brighton you want. if I were any of 'em, i'd really really want automatic promotion. whoever finishes third will be coming into the playoffs on a downer. I like Wednesday in their semi ... whoever it is.
and once they get in the prem i won't have to explain so much about who they are and what their name is about. lol. all those seasons i coached and named our team "smyrna wednesday", all those kids who saw my kits and said, "is that swansea city?" ... it will all be paid in full... two of the guys on my adult team have a multi player career(i guess that is what you'd call it) on PS4 and they have taken wednesday to the Prem. they give me updates every saturday night. he he he.
How is no one in this thread today? What an amazing game for the Wednesday! I'd love to see them get promoted.
damn, I wish I could've seen that. I've got mates saying that was the best atmosphere they've ever seen at Hillsborough ... which, given some special days of recent past, is really saying something.
