I agree that Zegelaar should also be called up. There are 3 friendly games scheduled so perhaps he can be called up after the 1st friendly or if there is injury.

I think Rekik will be cut after the preliminary squad anyway I agree Hoedt is much better than him but also te Wierik and van Beek.
    Does really Ramselaar deserve call-up?
Not sure of that, but I'm sure Buttner is better than both of them, this coach must be really "blind" to not see this;)

Sporting CP plan on selling LB Jefferson for 15M to Dynamo Kiev . Zeegelaar was already an undisputed starter as of late so this transfers just all but cements the confidence Jorge Jesus the coach has in him.

BMI has been a mixed bag some stellar games and some not so stellar games

    Depay- Janssen- Wijnaldum-

    Van Ginkel-Propper

    Anita

    PVA- Van Dijk- Bruma- Tete

    Joet

This is the best team I can think but then off course you have to make room for sonny boy.

Anita isn't above Clasie/Blind/Bazoer in my book, nice goal against City though.

For the first game, I'd like to see :

    Zoet

    Tete-Bruma-Van Dijk-Blind

    Vilhena-Bazoer-Propper

    Promes-Janssen-Depay

Willems and Clasie should be punished for their last sucking games with NT.

    Where are the LW's though ? Locadia isn't any competition to Depay...Maybe the coach plans to use Wijnaldum as LW, which would be good, but I doubt he will;

    Blind at LB?????
    Not again.
If Van Annholt doesn't start than again it will jus shows the incompetence of Danny Blind but I do agree on what your said about Willems and Clasie

Also sporting as already secured a CL spot and zeegelaar has been getting good reviews in Portugal. Sames goes for Buttner. Again their omission jus indicates how for some it comes to proving beyond doubt.

    Van Annholt
    Buttner
    Zeegelaar
    Willems
    Dijks

Blind had some solid games as LB. He also had some terrible ones , ok, but I don't see anyone clearly above him in the list you gave.

Van Aanholt, Buttner and Zeegelaar are attacking full backs that can't really defend. Dijks is a brave player but the NT should have higher standards...

Knowing that Blind has to be on the pitch anyway, I'd rather see him as LB than DM now. That's my point. Or CB, his game against England was actually pretty decent.

Yeah these are more attacking players especially Zeegelaar who should be considered a winger but Buttner defensively has improved a lot since he was at Vitesse. Also Willems is an attacking full back and after the injury he hasn't been neither as good as before in attack.
About the position of Daley Blind he still doesn't have a potision that suits him perfectly: He is too slow for a LB, too short for a CB, can't construct the game like a real midfielder. Imho he could improve in this last postion if he had a good coach.

Depay stinking out the joint again today. If he's not running into defenders he's tripping over blades of grass

But he then delivers a great cross to Borini who slots home the second goal. US NT RB Yedlin then delivers a cross that Defoe scores on and Sunderland win 3-2. Relegation matches are so much fun!!! If Sunderland can beat Everton in a mid-week match they stay up and Newcastle who could only draw today are down.

Blind at leftback is an experiment??!! He's been playing there for most of his career.

Also Huntelaar scored a goal today

Champions league heartbreak also for schalke after Augsburg equalized in the last denting their hopes of CL qualification.
Jeffrey Gouweleeuw played full game for Augsburg with Vergaegh still out injured.

Also good news for Luc castaignos as eintracht Frankfurt beat Dortumnd 1-0 to move out of relegation zone. Again it might go to wire as who gets relegated as the last match day sees them go head to head with werder Bremen who are on one point below them in relegation play off position.

Do you watch any Manchester United, like at all? If he's playing in the back four his most effective position is at centre back. His play at the beginning of the season was lackluster to say the least but he's really come into the role in the last few months and is one of the main reasons why they're a point out of the final Champions League spot.

Of course I know that. But that still wouldnt describe Blind playing LB for Oranje as an "experiment".
Did you watch the 2014 world cup?? He was quite effective playing there

Newcastle are going down - Janmaat, Wijnaldum, Krul need to find a better club & I think it will be good for their development as well

Stroot left on the bench so far today. I guess I cant blame Spaghetti since its smart not to change a winning team thats sitting in 2nd and has an automatic CL spot

It might be useful to not call up any Ajax players for the NT as none of them seem to be able to play with passion these days, a prime requirement of the NT.
