http://sanantoniofc.com/2016/04/san-antonio-fc-records-3-0-win-over-seattle-in-inaugural-usl-match/ Inaugural match ends up 3-0 to the good guys!!!!!! JJ with two goals in ten minutes and Okiomah seals it right after coming on in the 79th! GREAT JOB GUYS .... Also, The club received some extra support with around 30 members of SAFC supporter groups the Crocketteers and Mission City 118 on hand to cheer on the club in Seattle ^ Show 'em how it's done boys!!!!!!
What a great home opener (outside of the first 2 minutes). I really think that SAFC was the better team, and should of earned the three points. That said SPR are a very good team, and to get one point is solid. The ending reminded me a little bit of the Scorpions with the pushing and shoving.. But the team seems to be better overall, and its a different feel were your not waiting for that one person to go off and get a card at the wrong time. Fans were outstanding, and look forward to the next match.
pfffttt ... this train has been rolling (supporter wise) for several years Absolutely amazing atmosphere. I had just ordered some pizza for my son/nephew and was standing up top, under the scoreboard when the goal was scored ... saw the whole development of the play and the goal perfectly. And uh, it was LOUD .... insanely loud when it went in. From that vantage point I could literally see the entire stadium, and that moment easily stamped out the vast majority I've been to during MLS matches. 8,466 strong ... and there was every bit of that number there. There wasn't a time where there wasn't a line at the merch booths or the concessions or the restrooms, and a solid line around the concourse standing to watch the match. @MLS @thesoccerdon in case you didn't notice, there were a few people out last night and well, we blew the lid off pic.twitter.com/ZMJ1K0xld5— David (@AlamoCitySC) April 10, 2016
STILL UNDEFEATED !!!!!!!! 1-1 thanks to an Alvarez goal in the 89th on the road out in LA. GREAT JOB GUYS
Got the result on the road with a tie.. However, a sloppy 1st half of the game. You can see a huge difference in the team without Rafa in the game. Which is not something I thought I would say after last season. With two more tough games on this road trip. Hoping to get 3 points vs OC next.
"********". Literally, it means "f---er". Like "puta madre" is "MFer". But "********" is used in Mexico as a slur to suggest a man is gay. It's like calling someone the other F-word.
Well 1st loss and while it was 1-0, the game was not as close as the score was. OC was the better team that night. Need to improve the midfield play, outside of Rafa hitting the posts, twice a lot of struggles there. But for the 4th game, growing pains are to be expected. And Ford had the save of the year so far on the breakaway by OC. A lot to like, but you can see there is still plenty to work on. Good news is that most of the teams above them lost as well like Sac Rep and Co Springs.
Frustrating as even though we were out played 60/40 IMO, we had the best chances (outside of the goal). I'd rather just not get a shot on goal than have several posts ... still every encouraging and plenty of positives from the match. FORD SAVE <-------
Disappointing result ... frustrating really. Some good chances but starting to see why JJ didn't keep on at the MLS level. Encouraging that our back line and Ford are putting up what they are given the lack of offense the last two matches.
The offence has struggled outside of the Seattle2 match. Which is shocking, since all preseason Coach Powell, has stated we would be an attacking team. But yea, two lapses have cost us 4 points. Win verse SPR with the goal 2 minutes in and then the tie verse Switchbacks FC.
3-1 over those Oklajokers!!!!!!! Fantastic strike #MLSinSA RT @USL: To put it simply: GOOOOOOOOOALZO @miluca2007 for @SanAntonioFC!!!! 😱😱😱#SAvTUL https://t.co/DzG8lc7OHp— MLS in San Antonio (@MLSinSA) May 1, 2016 ENJOY
1-1 draw vs the Energy. good to get a point on the road, but I think both teams feel like they should of won the match. Once again not finishing (or making the pass (Johnson) to the open guy) hurt both teams. Good thing we get to do it again this week! SAFC needs to start collecting 3's.
I've been saying for a couple of weeks that JJ needs to sit and Sanchez needs a run up top as a starter.
do not mean to de-rail the thread, but i just noticed the white seats on the west side spelled out something, but i couldn't make it out. it looked like 'COR_ION ?? what is that?
To bad the team is playing like the Scorpions. of last year. Always one bone headed mistake and lack of finishing is costing SAFC. Beginning to think that SAFC is not going to make the climb up to the playoffs, still have time, but need 3 points from RGV tomorrow! Cannot leave this home stand with 1 point.
0-0 and 1 point from the home stand. Not what was expected. Not sure how Ford kept the clean sheet, but has to be in the running for team of the week already.
Great match against Colorado! We looked very good in the first half and if not for the dodgy PK call they wouldn't have pulled anything back. Reed was great and the debut for TANK was promising.
Finally some positive results from the team. I think that maybe against Houston they hit rock bottom, that prompted some changes like Frank the Tank.. who I think will give the team a big in the attacking in that was missed on this team.
