Those neon highlighter Ajax away kits give me a headache everytime. Thorough defeat in every aspect though for Heerenveen and surprisingly did not lose by more. Klaassen pretty much had a freebie on that giveaway turnover. Milik was given too many chances earlier as well. Otigba is receiving offers from the English second division, which shows where he belongs. The attack as mentioned was completely toothless as usual when going against big teams in the league. Going to need some major planning this summer to get back into the top half again.

What they need is a profilic striker and a good CM.after the departures of Sinkgraven and Ziyech, that CM position still looks vaccant

Subpar game from van Aken tbh. St. Juste's presence was missed, but I don't think he would have been a decisive factor in beating Ajax. I still consider him to be this team's top prospect though. In terms of CM, what I don't understand is how management resigned Rewan Amin only to end up not giving him a chance at all. Striker issues is something I've been saying all along. Can't keep playing scrubs like te Vrede up top and wasting minutes. Veerman is essentially the same. Maybe Zahovic will finally get his opportunity when a new coach moves in. Van Amersfoort might be an option for next season, he's been scoring well lately on loan at Almere City.

I think they should move for Vincent Vermeij should De Graafschap drop down to eerste divisie. The guy is in form and has also made his mark for the U 21s. Not only Heerenveen but this guy looks like a real deal and should be playing for team in top half. Bas Dost kind of striker really.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Vermeij, but also like to see van Amersfoort get a chance to see if he can make an impression during pre-season. Hopefully te Vrede gets sold, to anywhere really.

Hey Epitome990,I hear Heerenveen is linked with french born Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei from Stade Reims.
Any latest on this or transfer in or out from Heerenveen. I think this was not a good season for them but looking forward for next season with some new faces.

I'm not too familiar with the talent profile of that Kyei player, but have read he's available to the market for around 2.5 Mio. Te Vrede and/or Veerman would need to be sold for that to happen though at this point. There's only so much space in the rotation for a similar role of target man striker. Van Amersfoort is also meeting with technical director Hans Vonk to discuss over his future. Other youngsters like Vlap, Gartenmann, and de Fockert should be given a chance. Thern is also expected to make his return from injury. In terms of other player movements not too much has been mentioned yet. But van Anholt is leaving Heerenveen this summer, which might open up a need to sign a back up RB.

Larsson is likely to remain next season. While Heerenveen are also showing great interest in signing Telstar's Tarik Tissoudali, who's been the top rated player in the second division. Van den Berg however will be leaving, as management will not be offering him a contract extension.

Tissoudali could be a good upgrade over Slagveer. I'd like to see Zeneli and him along the wings and Van Amersfoort/new striker lead the attack. While Larsson has also shown to be effective in a more CAM role.

Rewan Amin and Joris Voest both sign a one year contract extension to stay until 2017. Hopefully with Joey's departure, Amin will finally get a chance with the first team. While Voest returns from another unfortunate injury.

What about Simon thern when is he to expected return.

Now I guess its jus a profilic striker what they are missing. Profilic to be In touch with top three. Though pelle Van Amersfoort is still young and talented but a more profilic striker should do it for Heerenveen if they really want to challenge the top 3. They could boast a good squad next season if all the players are up and running and if no one leaves.

Thern is expected to return in July and rejoin the team for training camp. Everyone can agree that a prolific striker is needed, especially after a season where someone like te Vrede was leading the attack. But it's going to depend on creative scouting and development instead of big direct purchases. As seen with Finnbogason, Uth, and those before them. This will continue to be the model to build around.

Corendon travel agency and Coolblue online electronics store are considered as frontrunners to replace Univé as the next lead kit sponsorship company.

Rasmus Kristensen from Midtjylland would be great young right-back to sign.

Looks like heerenveen are interesting in signing Lars Weldwijk from Zwolle on loan from Nottingham Forest. It clear that Zwolle won't extend his loan after signing Anass Anchabhar from Feyenoord. As for Lars Weldwijk there has been no word from Nottingham Forest regarding his future at the club or whether he will be recalled.should be good addition for Heerenveen if it does eventuate. They badly need a upgrade of Te Vrede and others.l.Weldjik should fit the bill and financially Heerenveen is well capable of securing the deal.
    Looking forward for next season.

Veldwijk could be an option if he's available for under 2-3 Mio. He's an immediate upgrade over both Mitch and Henkie, but not necessarily a player with a high ceiling in the long run. Meanwhile team scouts were sent to keep track of Anastasios Bakasetas. He's a 22 year old striker from Panionos in the Greek league. Some bad news is that Heracles appear to be favorites now to sign Tissoudali from Telstar.

I can't understand why they never went for Anchabhar. Apparently there is this Iranian guy who also is on their radar
Reza Ghoochannejhad. He is a product of their academy.

Doubt it, the direction has always been towards scouting a younger prospect with potential for growth.

With the squad and the quality of the players they poesse I feel they can be the Leicester City of Eredivisie but they need to reinforce some key areas where they lack quality players.I think this where they should move for proven players if they want success as in competiting with top three.

They should have captured Anchabhar. They need a striker who can score 15 goals a season at least and a CM . I can see them lifting eredivisie next season.
