They did sink a bunch of money into expanding the stadium, didn't they? That seemed like a bad idea at the time, and I even mentioned it to Johan Neeskens back then. She poo-pooed it, of course.
They also had construction problems with one of the new stands collapsing. I don't know if there was insurance to cover those costs.
That's about €34m. It would have been fine if they didn't overspend on everything else. Was between 30 and 40 iirc
Twente lose again today. I still think they will survive relegation. But they will need a bailout to survive bankruptcy
I'm watchinG Studio Voetbal at the moment...what a freeking shit this is...a couple of talking heads with nothing of any interest to say, just shitting words. Voetbal Insite already went the way of the ignorant amusing road and thus have nothing useful to mention... Is there not one broadcaster that can manage to put together a soccer programm not adressing f..ing imbecils.
It's not just soccer shows but a general trend with television. It's a medium on the losing side of the digital divide.
To prove your point the Powned broadcaster took the lowest ride possible. I was zapping channels last night and suddenly saw a bunch of PSV supporters, so I stopped. It was the footage of how they humiliated Roma with burning money in front of their face (as far as I know it is a crime to willfully destroy money) and other disgusting actions. The guy from Powned (black curly hair and one other beside him, probably Powned too) did talk down it..in fact said Roma deserve to be treated like that. How low a moral profile do you have to say that. In the news today I saw our minister of sport saying that nobody wouldnot look at it without disgust. Yeah, probably didnot see Powned. We live in a time where shitheads get the space to litter the media with their moral dunn. It is good to know this broadcaster is leaving for the internet soon. It is just the right place for these bigots dressed up as journalists. Sometimes it is a good thing not to have the same gun laws as in the USA...one might get trigger happy.
While the behavior of those PSV fans was disgusting, I doubt anyone should take pownews seriously. They are pretty open about trying to be controversial and obnoxious like GeenStijl. I'm more worried about the quality of news reporting and in depth analysis on the public channels which seems to become increasingly human interest oriented and politicized.
I bumped into this very long article. Despite its title it is about far more interesting stuff than good old L. https://theaustinreynolds.wordpress.com/tag/louis-van-gaal/ Read it.
I just read that in Inverting the Pyramid: The History of Football Tactics Door Jonathan Wilson that it was due to atheism that the Dutch and the Ukranian Dynamo Kiev became the exponents of a system as an attacking force. That will make a certain poster here smile.
AZ - PSV streams. No commentary for some reason: http://goatd.net/143974/watch-az-alkmaar-vs-psv http://goatd.net/144120/watch-az-alkmaar-vs-psv
The 2nd half was awesome. Too bad Liga title has pretty much been decided already. It looked to me like Barca didnt really give it 100% in this game
^^I couldn't believe Suarez missed the easy goal in the first half. He's done this quite a bit. I think Barca was looking past this to the CL game against Athletico.
Sparta take advantage of some woeful defending by Jong Ajax and win 3-1 to gain promotion to the Eredivisie next season.
Yep, and if Excelsior put some effort in it and stay up we will have 3 teams in the Eredivisie. Good to have back the Rotterdam Rivalry
Who will be their Jamie Vardy? Didn't see anyone fitting that description in the Jong Ajax match yesterday.
PSV and Ajax down to the wire with 2 games left. One slip and the title is the other's. How about the team of this season? Vermeer Tete Veltman Bruma Dijks Propper Guardardo Klaassen Kuyt Janssen Locadia
I don't follow Eredivisie as often as I would like to. Who did I miss? What 11 would you have in your team?
