Do you think Leicester City can win the league this season? I believe them and Arsenal have an extremely high chance of winning this year, mostly due to the fact that other top clubs aren't performing as well. If Leicester can get a good result against Liverpool this weekend at Anfield, and then next week against City at the Power stadium, they have a good chance of winning it.
I'm of the belief that someone else is going to get a strong enough run to overtake them when Leicester gets a small slump, although I'm starting to be more and more certain in my opinion that Leicester certainly wouldn't plummet, and certainly not out of sight of the top. While I really like Leicester and are a great fan of how they're doing it, I'm more than willing to admit that they're over-preforming and have done so for quite a while, but equally so I'm less and less certain that anyone have the ability to counter it with their own run of high performance, as everyone else looks rather inconsistent at times.
Certainly anything is possible, but we're not even at the halfway point of the season. We've still got 6 teams within 9 points, so the title race is very tight. If Leicester is still top at the end of January I'll give them a decent chance. A lot depends on whether they can keep their team intact over the transfer window ... and possibly even reinforce it. One thing I will say about Leicester is that they're not the typical underdog overachiever. Usually when a smaller team ends up near the top of the table it's because of a stingy defense and winning games against the run of play. Leicester on the other hand leads the league in goals scored. Generally over a long season, fortune favors those that can put the ball in the net. Scoring goals helps avoid long losing streaks.
I can't see them keeping it up tbh. I would be surprised if they finished in the top 4, but they certainly have a chance. I hope they do - if it's at the expense of the Mancs it'd be great!!
I sure hope not, but they can do it. Any champion is going to have to do several things: win on merit, win when they're not playing well, avoid injuries to key players, and get some lucky breaks. I've probably watched 2 or 3 full matches of theirs, but by accounts they're doing it on merit. You could say that luck broke against them yesterday when Mahrez missed a penalty. IMO, as it mainly does, the title contenders come down to how many points they get off the rest of the league and not necessarily the other title contenders/top 4 or 5 clubs. Arsenal hold the advantage having beaten City and Lester, so directly the best those two clubs can do in head to head matches is to pull even, but they can't pull ahead. So for Arsenal, Lester, and City ground must be gained against the "rest of the league". Arsenal aren't doing a great job with that the last two weeks with draws with LFC and Stoke.
It all comes down to the next to away games ... @ Man City next weekend and @ Arsenal the following weekend. If they can survive that and still be at or very near the top I think they'll have a chance. Their schedule becomes very favorable in March and April ...
Their will be a point in the season which will either make it or break it and it will be when leicester have it all in their hands with just a handful of games to go, its at this point their arse muscles will probably pack in and their will be **** everywhere.
Leicester City have a golden opportunity to win the EPL. With other Clubs wobbling and Leicester picking up the points who'd bet against them? Big game this weekend, Arsenal away.
Big opportunity against a struggling Watford and at least one of Tottenham or Arsenal guaranteed to drop points.
Tottenham doesn't have to play West Ham anymore. Here's a remaining schedule comparison between Leicester City and Tottenham: 3 home and 3 away games left each Common opponents of Manchester United and Chelsea Leicester City plays West Ham United, Swansea City, Sunderland, and Everton. Those clubs average 1.23 points per game. Tottenham plays Southampton, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, and Newcastle United. Those clubs average 1.26 points per game. So by that measure Leicester City's remaining schedule is a little easier. Tottenham has the advantage of ending at Newcastle United who might clinch relegation before then.
Interesting fact about Leicester. At 7 points, they currently have the largest league lead of any team in the Top 5 European leagues by UEFA coefficient.

Down to three matches left and Leicester city need only 3 points (propably to be earned at home v. Everton instead of at Old Trafford) no matter what Spurs do.
Good luck to Leicester this weekend against ManU. There's an added bonus to this game as the Helmond Cup is also being contested with a chance for Leicester to take it from the current holders. For those wanting more detail check out the Helmond Cup Twitter feed. A lot of storied clubs have held the Cup since its origination in The Netherlands in 2007.
