Vincent Janssen has 14 goals and 4 assists in his last 18 games. All of them being game winning or go-ahead goals/assists except 2. Very impressive form. I like him.
If your club would keep the good players and get rid of the bad they would be top of the table!!! Blame the management.
Vincent Janssen played for Feyenoord (as a youth player), but they let him go, thinking he wasn't good enough.
I struggle to think of any good Feyenoord players since then. Only one I can come up with is Van Persie.
Wijnaldum could never play for a CL winning team. In the meantime Ajax has had Zlatan, Suarez, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, Nigel de Jong, Maxwell and a couple more.
Twente are unable to meet the deadline and need more time to provide information regarding their finances and transfer policies. The city of Enschede is willing to make accommodations to support them. However a decision is still required by the KNVB on whether to grant them this request. http://nos.nl/artikel/2086442-knvb-beslist-over-lot-fc-twente.html
Ron Jans' effective coaching strategies having a important role, always getting the most out of his players.
Quite the turnaround by Twente. 5th win in a row after beating Groningen 2-0 at home today. Also closing within 6 points of a top 7 spot in the standings.
Well I was told for years by a certain poster that FC Twente was super solid. Most solid of all financially. Too bad she can not be held accountable anymore.
It would have almost been worth tolerating her for a few more years around here just to hear her now. €90 million in debt. That's impressive. Even Feyenoord was only 30 million in debt. Even if Twente survive it'll take them 20 years to pay of that debt. And they don't have a youth academy to fall back on. Hope that 1 title was worth it.
Wow that's a lot of debt. I remember Ms. Neeskens saying how Twente was in such good shape since they owned their stadium and could get all the revenues rather than paying rent. I guess this didn't quite work out.
I cannot recall it to be that low..isnot that the number after measures had been taken to lower it? I have put that episode in a back chamber in the dungeons of my head.
The stadium wasnot the problem, it was the stupid idea to become one of the top 16 in Europe and in line with that buying the players by means of shady constructions and paying them far too much.
I hope Twente can clean their house and recover somehow. It would be such a waste for the league to lose a sub top team with good infrastructure.
