Highlights. Birminghams' defence doesn't look too clever on the Leicester goals. Great goals by Brum though.

Spector got away with one in a 1-1 draw with Derby on Fri. In his own box, he stepped firmly on the foot of an opposing attacker, who was whistled for a dive.

Late addition to the USMNT roster for the Brazil and Peru games. Good for him Birmingham City's Jonathan Spector has been added to the #USMNT roster. Gives Klinsmann needed fullback options. Smart move— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) September 1, 2015
Without meaning to be a broken record here - and @bshredder may be right about why Spector has been called - but now that Specs is playing CB regularly, I hope he's given consideration there.
@bshredder Can you give any insight within the constraints of your position as to why JK would not call in Lichaj for fullback cover?
I highly doubt he will be, simply given the squad. Gonzalez, Besler, Brooks, Orozco, and Alvarado are pure centerbacks, Ream and Cameron can both play wide but Ream in particular is primarily a centerback. He called up a glut of centerbacks and left the flanks totally bare (Garza is the only true fullback in the 24-man squad).
Just to emphasize the point, he hasn't played Full Back since September 27, 2014. Great for Spector, given this roster will most certainly reflect the majority of players in the "Concacaf Cup". However, horrific for the US if he hasn't retained positional memory from a year ago.
Only 34 caps. Seems like he had oh so many. But the only games I recall him in were from the 2009 Confed Cup
After a solid 20 mins at RB against Brazil, Spector can't have hurt his chances of getting called away from Birmingham again. He took the ball away from Neymar a couple of times and probably should've had an assist on a cutback pass to Diskerud, who failed to convert an open look from just above the penalty spot.
Any idea why he's being used as a sub? Guy used to start all games, and doesn't seem to have had a knock. As you know he was playing CB of late, but Morrison seems to have the spot now (paired with the captain, Robinson), and of course Caddis is their starting RB at this point. It seems Spector has been demoted to first-from-the-bench role.
Specs has been demoted to the bench for Birmingham's last four games...not sure why. http://us.soccerway.com/teams/england/birmingham-city-fc/669/
