I've seen some old jerseys on eBay, but I really like the new ones, and there appears to be no way to contact their store, other than going directly through the team, or the ticket office. Like you, I've had no response back, so I must assume they think that we are trolling them, or no-one wants to go out of their way to sell us a jersey.
Well, I don't know how long it will last, but Racing is currently in a tie with ASM Belfort for 1st place in the National! Strasbourg beat Belfort 2-0 on Friday. They're tied on points (29), but Strasbourg have more wins. It would appear that they have some scorers now, to go along with defenders, and goalkeepers, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high. More importantly, it seems that they have owners, and team management that know what they're doing! How long this all might last is anyone's guess, but at least it's fun for now. Allez Racing!
Well let's hope that the on-field product works out because there boutique is a joke. I purchased a shirt in the first week of December in hopes of getting it by Christmas. Well my order is still listed on my account on there website as being processed but no shirt has arrived to this day... in there defence they haven't charged my credit card either (not sure why) and despite 4 emails are yet to reply. I found out from a supporter in Strasbourg that they likely won't reply or send your order! When I asked why I was told they don't care and especially about foreign orders! Then why on earth set a shop that accepts foreign orders! I don't want to stereotype the French but this isn't helping your cause or reversing the rudeness stereotype is it? Back in the old days of RC Strasbourg they were quite good at the boutique but since the team went belly-up it has been non-existent communication!
Wow. Just. Wow. I had thought about ordering from their website, but never got around to it. The only relative I communicate with on a regular basis, is female, and is not a football fan at all. I don't know who else to ask why their online store is so shitty, and the staff so lackadaisical.
After winning today's match, Racing are in first place with 33 points, 3 points clear of Marseille Consolat! (Marseille Consolat, Lucon, and ASM Belfort are all tied on points for second place with 30 points.) Strasbourg need to keep up the good work and take care of business next week, at Les Herbiers. Allez Racing!
Well, first things first! If they work their way up to Ligue 2, hopefully they can summon the will to advance to Ligue 1, and perhaps stay there. They were shambolic, especially in the 1990s and 2000s, at best a yo-yo team, very poorly run. The demotion to CFA2, in 2011 - for financial reasons, was an extreme wake-up call, and the new owners/management seem to have a real desire for the team to continually improve. I hope they can stay with it and eventually see the promotion back to Ligue 1.
Not to harp on this but when it comes to there shop/boutique they are still a CFA2 team and even if they make it to Ligue2 and eventually Ligue1 I don't see it getting better... they are amateurs at best when it comes to merchandise and customer service!
I'm not too superstitious (that's why I haven't posted anything until now ), but Racing has won the National, and is being automatically promoted to Ligue 2, as a result of their draw with ASM Belfort today! With one match left in their season, and a lead of 4 points, there's no way anyone can catch them! Allez Racing et bon vent!
Yaaaaaay! Racing is going back to Ligue 1! http://www.espnfc.us/french-ligue-1...moted-to-ligue-1-after-wild-finish-in-ligue-2
Well done Strasbourg, with their stadium capacity of 29,000 I am always believe that this club has the future and belong to Ligue 1 long term. Delighted for their fans.
Just an update. The shop has turned things around now that they are back in Ligue 1 ordered a shirt and received it within a week. not bad when you look at France to Canada! I hope they keep up the fight and stay in Ligue 1
Thanks for the head's up, @Arrows! I think I'll give a big hint to my French-speaking son, what I would like for Father's Day: I haven't posted anything in here (results, or merchandise ) in a while, because I didn't want to jinx them. I am cautiously optimistic that they will stay up this season, but there are still quite a few games to go.
I search eBay regularly for merchandise. There are a couple things on the site I would like but they've run out and it says "coming soon"..but with their reputation I have no idea what that could mean. Lol. ALLEZ RACING! PS. Travelled to Strasbourg last summer and the day I went to La Meinau the gates were locked. I just wanted to buy something..anything.
On the RC Strasbourg site they have run out of most sizes of the home shirt twice already this season. I am not sure if they will get another batch in. Just a head up size wise in this day and age with the sizing all out of sorts where a European size XXXXXXL is equivalent to a North American size Medium.. I have found if anything the Strasbourg shirts be it the Pro version or fan version run big to true if you need an XL get a L you should be fine. I found the XL I got was a tad too big.
They did it! Racing beat Lyon 3-2 in stoppage time, and none of the bottom three teams can catch them with only one match remaining! Now, if they can only spend some money to increase the starting quality of the team, and also with depth, they may be able to stay a little longer in Ligue 1. With a (so far with 1 match remaining) -22 goal differential, they need improvement all through the team. Yaaaaayyy! Allez Racing!
I saw those last 2 matches and I was really worried! Great job to get that win and now the job turns towards consolidating their place.
