They bought the land from what used to be big White Elephant of a project, Super Splash. That area is not too far from the hwy (Hwy 281), but is not visible from there (about five minutes or a mile away from the highway).

Just drove by the stadium Sunday Jun 19 2016. That stadium won't be ready until March 2017. No way for it to be ready this year.
