It's difficult to explain: I should retrieve some old video to give an example. Maybe I'll try in the next days.

Oh, something has rung a bell.
    Perhaps you caught "ookurishimasu".
It's a polite saying of "okuru" (broadcast in this case).
We are broadcasting this program with the support of Toyota, Honda or etc.

Does the extra "o" up front serve the same purpose as the "o" in o'genki desu ka?

Vegalta sure like their players on the tall side...

That's awful, it really looked like ACL (it was in the quarter-final vs Urawa) but was still hoping it would be something less serious. And I think it's the same knee again, it reminds me of Sergio Canales, suffering a setback just after returning. I hope she can come back stronger from all this.

As for the Empress Cup final, I could try to record and upload it somewhere for those who can't watch it. If anyone's interested, let me know.

Yes, you often use this kind of "o" when you want to be polite.

Yes, thank you very much, unepomme! :) I was sure that you were going to be able to answer me, despite the fact that the way I had formulated my question was quite unaccurate. Anyway, do you agree that "ookurishimasu" vaguely reminds of "Christmas"?

I've got the feeling that I could have sometimes heard it also as "ookurishimashita" (We were broadcasting this program with the support of...").

Mmm, what's the exact time in Europe? Even if I don't get actual live-stream, I could be interested in knowing the time of the broadcast anyway: maybe I could find at least a play-by-play live-ticker (hint: here :p).

I don't think most Japanese people associate it with Christmas, because it is divided into "ookuri" and "shimasu" in our brain automatically, not Oh Christmas.:D
So it must be your new discovery, maybe.:p

And yes, "shimashita" is the past form of "shimasu"; the former is used at the end of the program and the latter at the beginning.

I think there is also a pronounciation issue. Unless it is a long "o" in Kanji/Hiragana, the double "o" - I think, please correct me - might not be pronounced as one vowel, but separately as two. Furthermore, the "a" in shimasu sounds more like the German "a" or the "a" in the word "dance" when pronounced in british-english. Or the "a" at the end of "Italia". The english and american-english of the "a" in christmas (and in "dance") sounds different. So depending on the pronounciation of the "a", the connection could be made.

    At half time:
    Inac 0-0 Albi

It's a really even game; Albi's two CBs are very good.

Hi guys, I am late (I am a sleepyhead when in holidays :barefoot:). Now eating my breakfast. :coffee:

I missed first half, but it looks like I didn't miss any goals.

Apparently, Titus Sol's link is not working for me either, although I can't understand what's the problem with it.

I'll look for some other links, or I'll be content to watch for unepomme's updates. :giggle:

I guess 2nd half already started by some minutes...

I am uselessly doing a research of "inac神戸レオネッサ vs アルビレックス新潟レディース", but to no avail at the moment. Can you at least tell me if I am looking for the right thing in Japanese?
