Ok, expert of Dutch football who didn't know Nistelrooy didn't play in Ajax, if you don't care what I think then maybe just don't quote my posts. :coffee: I'm cool with that.

I said I do not care if you think I don't know much of Nistelrooy
Ajax or Psv are not that much different - just different name (typo)

Not like I said Messi played for levante (instead of Barca)

As said Nistelrooy was the last (rare) goal poacher that this era had none
Netherland NT to EPL missed Nistelrooy scoring touch so much

However compared him to Bergkamp or Basten = different class in talent

Surely Ajax is a much greater team than Eindhoven and a more important team in the history of football.

It did not mean much in rating player quality (as we discussed here)
Basten and Bergkamp playing for Ajax and that did not make them any better tahn Romario Ronaldo playing for PSV

Yeah, I agree but again that applies to any team as some of the all-time greats have started their careers at very small clubs.

    agree

  8. Why? I have seen him play and he was fantastic. He was about to come to Feyenoord, when his career was cut short. I think even Cruijff admitted he was the better player. I only can dream what Feyenoord's trophy room would have looked like if his injury hadnot occurred.

So strange for so many great dutch players to come along in one wave. Trying to imagine another player of Cruyff caliber in the national team side that already had to leave out a number of top players.
