They are/were especially against Brazil lol... the final score could've been worse for Brazil but they held back, but they can also dish it out as they can take it; they're thick skinned.
My feels for quite some time now has been that Liga MX does produce talent. The MNT currently has an impressive collection of youth tourney titles. However, the way the League is structured (Short Season with Mini League) and club owners with little patience makes for a bad setting to nurture talent. I agree with the vanilla in the sense that the pressure to succeed is not the same. In Liga MX for most clubs making the mini-league is having a good season. In Argentina every other game is a Clasico and because the champion is the team with the most points that makes every match that much more intense. The fact that young players get more playing time and play in high pressure matches, compared to Copa MX and CCC against third tier teams, gives the average Argie prospect a better advantage to succeed. A good example is River defender Ramiro Mori. At 19 years old he made the first team and helped the club win promotion. In the past four years he has been a key player in River's impressive run collecting League, Sudamericana, and Copa Libetadores titles. He just turned 24 years old. Jurgen Damm is 22 he will be 23 in November. If we compare both players careers Mori looks like a seasoned veteran. So, it is not much of a surprise that Damm choked in his biggest match of his playing career. He had never been a key player for Pachuca much less one of the best in Liga MX. Mori on the other hand is already used to playing in high stakes games and more importantly has had a better process from prospect to starter. This is the effect of Liga MX club's having one bad season, not qualifying to Liguilla, and the management bringing in 5-8 new players to strengthen the squad but at the same time weaken their youth players. At this time let us give props to based Nestor de la Torre. Despite Chivas stuck in a relegation battle he has been very selective with transfers and has given youth players the confidence to improve. In about two years this Chivas team should be back to their 2005-2006 form. You heard it here first.
Agreed, I always hated how the stupid Liguilla has made owners very comfortable. Also another factor is that the league only has ONE relegation per season. If it had 3 like a normal league would, all the teams, not just the lower half, would be playing their asses off.
Youd be surprised how south americans have held hands to argue mexicans in this site throughout the years
Ye Mexico 3 invitees UNAM (Mexico 1) Second stage 2015 Apertura classification phase best team not qualified for 2015–16 CONCACAF Champions League Toluca (Mexico 2) 2015 Apertura classification phase 2nd best team not qualified for 2015–16 CONCACAF Champions League Puebla (Mexico 3) First stage 2015 Supercopa MX champion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Copa_Libertadores

I dont watch Liga MX so idk which teams are doing good lol. I just knew Puebla was never really that good lol.
Toluca's highest points around Conmebol was being a Copa Sudamericana semifinalist & a Copa Libertadores round of 16th as their personal best Pumas was in a internal crisis the last time they were in the Libertadores but they were also a Copa Nissan Sudamericana finalist Frankly PUMAS UNAM is more trustable than a Puebla that has finance problems at times & couldnt do shit in Toluca meanwhile Toluca was crap in the 2013 Libertadores
Old ass Luis Gabriel Rey will be leading Puebla's attack. They won't even qualify to the group stage.
