Yeah, to beat them again for WC qualifiers, as we already did that before, for the 2002 WC qualifier campaign, where we finished last, but achieved a strong 3-0 victory against Brazil at home (goals by Estay, Zamorano and Salas).

2002 WC qualifiers was only 4 WC cycles ago (and only 3 of them with Brazil taking part of it).
It can sure be considered to be, "recent" ....

Haha it's all relative. The noticieros interviewed a group of 15-18 year old Chileans who had never seen such a thing.

The game versus Peru is going to be won or lost on the sides, Isla and Mena (if he plays have to be on their A game if we want the 3 points).

I wonder, is Zambrano playing? heard there was a chance he´d miss out.

I know Bolivia is on strike currently, but after seeing the goals they conceded, did they let Uruguay win?

    I don't think so.
Everybody must have at least a little of self respect and respect towards their fans, whom sure must be making an effort to buy the tickets.
Of course they wanted to win. But in football, wanting is not all you need to achieve anything. You must outscore your opponent, and here they failed at it, while Uruguay did it.

Now we can also turn around the question to your team :
Did Peru on purpose tried to not score goals on Colombia ?, because when Colombia was wining by only one goal, one of your players did an "Higuain" almost at the last minute of the match (kicking it outside), with almost no opposition in front. That would've meant your team the draw, btw......
    :D

I said that because Bolivia are on strike I believe. The players don't want to play for the NT. We can let a Bolivian confirm this. I don't remember Bolivia ever being this poor.

Some of their players are on strike because they are against the nomination of their current coach, but others feel that to play for their NT, will always be an honor and therefore despite what they might feel for their current coach, they don't agree on the decission taken by some of their players whom refused to play, and tried to give their best anyway.
Unluckly, Bolivia is not a top team, so if ever they play with only half of their best players, it will turn out to be a dysaster for their team, as it happened against Uruguay.
Bolivia with a complete team, playing at La Paz, probably would have not lost against Uruguay, at least not without giving a bigger battle.

If by whatever results happens at the end of these qualifiers, and Bolivia misses the tickets to Russia by only one point (or by a couple of them precisely against Uruguay), well bolivian fans will have to look precisely at those of their players who decided to go on strike on this one, as they would be the ones to guilt for it.

Como se esta jugando este partido en Quito con agua estancada en el campo? Es un relajo ya... es que no hay reglas para Ecuador? Jugadores de 20 años en la sub-17... El número 15 está jugando gratis...
