Bad idea. There's a reason MySpace doesn't exist anymore..

    Ew, MySpace.

Anyway, KanyeToThe allows you to pick from a bunch of background images, while a few artist sections have their own background image (usually an album cover). This can be implemented here depending on the consensus of the members from each section. For instance, the Mexico section can have a background image of, say, the NT crest, while the USA section can have a background image of Donald Trump (just kidding), etc

I'd love a dark background. It'd be great in low-light settings and dark backgrounds are allegedly easier on batteries.

I asked a while ago (old software, I think) and they said it couldn't be done.

    Maybe now?

I never read the blog. I interact with the forum exclusively.

But I would read the blog more if it had dedicated forum in which each post had its own thread. I'm sure that's possible, and I'm sure it could be automated. (The new thread option should be disabled for everyone except for the bot.)

    So that's my suggestion.

Start a new board for the blog in which each new post automatically gets its own thread.

    I'll happily subscribe to that.

They used to have that option with the darker background before the latest overhaul, IIRC. You could pick this light grey, dark grey, or light blue skins.

But I think what SalvaTrucha is referring to, though, is to be able to have customized background images for each individual user, you know, those glittery, colorful images.....

I was talking about what Kryptonite was saying. I should have quoted him directly.

And no, in regards to what La Trucha was saying, we don't need this to become some Univision style board :D

Regarding the background, the dark one must have been a while ago which I voluntarily erased from memory. I don't remember it. Yeah, we don't need this to be MySpace...how that company (or whoever owns it now) hasn't declared bankruptcy is anyone's guess. IMO, a few things "killed" it and in no particular order, they were the "moving text on the non-moving background", Facebook going mainstream and eventually, the ability to login to MS via FB. Nowadays, it seems like everyone has separate social networks. You'd post pictures on instagram, communicate via Twitter, etc.

Honestly, I'm surprised Google hasn't yet given up Google Plus.

Regarding the blog, what about this idea? There seem to be about 4-5 featured bloggers, right? Give each one a forum. When a blog entry is posted, the bot automatically starts a thread in that forum with a teaser and link to the full entry. Comments enabled at blog and at forum.

Oh no, I'm 100% against anything MySpacey like moving text, gif backgrounds and avis; it's too cheesy and would drain the battery, something I didn't consider before.

I simply propose a new background. Maybe we don't need to pick our own backgrounds, but instead we can have the option to choose from a few backgrounds like KTT offers. If we can't have this, then I'm more than happy to have a darker background. Anything but this unappealing grey background.

    I agree.

Go here and then scroll down to the lower left. You'll see a style chooser. One of them is dark. Switch to the dark.

Something like that would make me happy. And yes, I remember when we had various skins, some of which were MLS-themed. I don't remember having a dark one. (Some of them were used to get around various advertising, IIRC.)

It is a problem you created. You cannot continually post racist and all sorts of nonsense on your own boards, with free reign, and then immediately start mass crying and reporting the second someone posts anything negative elsewhere. You lot can dish it out but you cannot take it. Your freedom to act like toddlers will be short lived. The Mexican boards are not an extension of WR

Wrong. There's no racism there whatsoever. Please post examples of these racist acts, Bicho. You've been a long-time Mexico hater and are biased towards everything Mexican, perhaps that is the problem? I remember your WR days and if anyone has dished out racist remarks in the past, it has been you all along. While I do agree with the notion that us Mexicans are very proud people, with a great sense of cultural heritage, the result is that we are outspoken individuals and will call out BS as we see it. And quite the contrary, Mexican's are, perhaps, the people with the thickest skin you can encounter. We can dish it out, as well as take it.

    Reality proves otherwise.

Regardless I have zero problem with Mexico. This nonsense started when Hernandez failed to replicate his first season form, was rightly criticized and you all got butthurt. There was no problem when I was positive to either Mexico over the last decade or Hernandez during his first season which proves my point.

this sounds like a threat, care to expound on this?

you either want to exterminate the Mexican problem,
or is it your own version of acting out your inner terrible 2's?

    which is it?

    LMAO, do what?

It's difficult to take you seriously, you either do have a problem or you don't. We need to know. This is very discriminatory in nature. Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately, Bitcho?

If you stopped immediately looking to take immature potshots you would comprehend the intent and issue raised. Your failure to do so and the responses of your comrades thus far perfectly illustrates my point. I'm sure our Yank members require no such demonstration of this behaviour.

Sorry bro, if you feels this way it's because it's simply accepted. Back when Welbwck was still with Utd, a lot of Mexican posters were upset because Cheech wasn't playing and welbeck was. Soon many Ignorant black jokes were thrown around recklessly.

Whenever there's a gardening joke thrown out, you all cry and report post that you lot instigated.

But on the Mexican board. Especially NSR, there are watermelon, fried chicken and high top fade references that go unpunished.

Also. How does somebody get banned from a board he doesn't post on?

NSR isn't like that anymore, primarily because of PC posters like me not digging that...also gardening jokes coming from a fanbase that tends to steep itself in bro level racism should be called out...I don't see how racism is instigated though...that's pretty ignorant.

    It is ignorant. It's wrong.

Thanks you for confirming this though. I'm glad there is someone out there who doesn't put their head in the sand.

Also which fan base is that?

I think the main issue at hand is not on a comprehension level but rather on one of failure to conduct a thorough analysis of self-critique. Lets keep in mind, and not forget, that you approached this thread with the intent to single out and entire nation and culture. That in itself is the essence in which discrimination thrives. While we are here trying to determine the relationship between causation and your blatant offensive comments, you take every chance you get to offend a group of people. We get it, you had a single bad experience with a Mexican poster. It's time to leave the past and move on, and do not you forget to take a good look at your inner self.

I meant a racist response being instigated by a person that happens to be Mexican or any other race is ignorant...any racist comment being qualified by "instigated" is excusing the racist behavior...and NSR was racist up until earlier this year...you won't see those comments any more...the USMNT is largely perceived as promoting bro behavior and excusing racism...rightfully so for the most part.

I dissent. While there may be some bad apples in the Mexican board, there are bad apples everywhere. I cannot speak of a certain event, but speaking from a broad perspective, the Mexican board is not a place where racism is the norm. Not by any means. I have been posting there for 10 years now and when someone does post something offensive of the sort, they are called out immediately.
