Eventually ended up with the Kitsap Pumas in 2015. Here's a feature story on him: http://kitsapsoccerclub.com/apollon-signs-on/ So... they're all accurate. He grew up in Boston, and spent some time living in Haiti as a teenager before returning to the US and living in Portland. And that means he's probably a Yank.
Been told that Bayern Munich U15 forward Jalen Hawkins has a U.S. passport. He played with FC Ingolstadt last season https://t.co/Gu9aowt1Sp— J.R. Eskilson (@JREskilson) July 29, 2015
One of the players listed previously by @ussoccer97531 has signed with Boston College: Joshua Forbes - Midfielder/Defender - 5-9, 163 - Bochum, Germany/Hellweg-Schule Played with the U18 German National Team … led club team, VFL Bochum, to four-straight city championships and won the national indoor tournament in 2013 … served as captain of VFL Bochum for three years … also captained SG Wattenscheid for three seasons. http://www.bceagles.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/072915aad.html
Could be. Of course, we don't know if he's American. Also, he's decided to come to the United States to live and study. Interpret that however you like, I guess.
He didn't sign a pro contract. Most Euro players on youth contracts are eligible to play in the NCAAs as long as they only get expenses covered.
They pretty loosely too, like my Scottish friend was on a Scottish league team. They would pay for his "gas" but they road a bus to games, plus it was too much for gas. He was eligible for NCAA but couldn't find any full scholarships here, which was the only way he could justify not accepting the free "uni" back in Scotland.
Steven Toy, who Soccer Talents says is American, has apparently (if I'm reading this correctly) recently been named player-coach at lower division German club Kirchheimer SC. http://www.fussball-vorort.de/verei...en-Toy-wird-Spielertrainer-in-Kirchheim_31329 http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/sport/fussball-nachfolger-aus-der-nachbarschaft-1.2585127 http://www.transfermarkt.de/steven-toy/profil/spieler/52079
Iranian-born Germerican '96 midfielder Rojan-Marcel Bozorgzadeh with FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin II? http://www.transfermarkt.com/rojan-marcel-bozorgzadeh/profil/spieler/378390 The first team is in the 4th tier.
(Germany born-and-raised, but US emigre and now citizen) Gedion Zelalem might get some playing time with Arsenal this season, and he does have 6 caps with the US U20 squad this year. Time for him to have his own thread?
Doesn't look like they have updated any of their rosters and I can't find any mention of him on the web site -- worth a look, though. Did find a match report from last season at his old club (FC Magdeburg) that mentions him.
It seems doubtful that he's a Yank, but figured I'd mention that France native Billal Qsiyer, who played at Lindsey Wilson and for the Central Florida Adrenaline of the PDL, and who is for some reason called American by Transfermarkt, seems to be on trial at Bradford City. http://www.naplesnews.com/sports/so...z-osiyer-named-to-allconference-team_30287458 http://www.transfermarkt.com/billal-qsiyer/profil/spieler/372965
FuPa has an '89 named Nick Powell at German lower-division club SG Untertürkheim as a Yank. http://www.fupa.net/spieler/nick-powell-727948.html He is listed on the club's roster: Zeidel, Robin - Schweizer, Marcel - Schlick, Stefan - Kiebel, Sebastian - Schmidtkonz, Stefan Powell, Nick - Zeh, Moritz - Papadopoulos, Sideris - Zeidler, Timo - Jesus Ferreira, Filipe Parott, Jürgen - Gendera, Jens http://www.sgu07.de/ He's not the Manchester United player of the same name.
Confirmed and thread started: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/matthew-korziewicz-in-poland.2024064/
Transfermarkt lists a '99 named Tyrese Chatmon at Energie Cottbus as German-American: http://www.transfermarkt.com/tyrese-chatmon/profil/spieler/387417 He seems to have been with Eintracht Trier last season. http://www.wochenspiegellive.de/nac...rier-b-junioren-sichern-sich-sich-das-double/ This link indicates that the move did in fact happen. https://www.facebook.com/cpsportsan...0.1440454145./862071497202025/?type=1&theater This too: http://www.lr-online.de/sport/energie-cottbus/Energies-U-17-startet-ohne-Illusionen;art52793,5130957 Some DFB involvement: http://www.dfb.de/sichtungsturniere...pielplan/?spieledb_path=/league_player/356716
Transfermarkt says Kaiserslautern's U17 and '99 Corey Anton is German-American. He is listed at the club, but I haven't been able to quickly confirm that he's a Yank. The team says he is German-born, and happens to note that one of his youth clubs is the same as Andrew Wooten's (Wormatia Worms). http://fck.de/de/1-fc-kaiserslautern/nachwuchs/leistungsbereich/u17/spieler.html http://www.transfermarkt.com/corey-anton/profil/spieler/388030
Maybe you can contact my son Tyrese. He might be able to answer since he is familiar with the surrounding clubs. Good luck
Hi A player with this exact same name played for the national team of Belize against Canada in the WC2018 qualifiers. I doubt it's someone else . His name is definitely Ghanian, he was listed in Turkey as American and now shows up for Belize. pretty odd.
