What do you think of the American footballers that have played in the Premier League? Were any great representatives of their countrymen or of MLS? Were you a fan of any? Did you expect any to have a bigger career? For example Clint Dempsey in just 5.5 years at Fulham (became their top league goal scorer) with 50 PL goals. What do you think of the success of US goalkeepers in the league? Whats been the key? Friedel and Howard in particular. Both are in the top 10 of GKs to record over 100 cleansheets in the league. Friedel is 8th with Howard at 10th but he should notch 8th by end of the year and perhaps 6th (if Everton's backline can help him out). Are US players seen as quality on the cheap in the eyes of many in the league?
Its hard to rate them, because there isn't that many Americans playing in Premier League. I think that one really quality player from America is missing, to make a real mark
I am saying, they didn't leave a big mark. They should be playing for top clubs like, City, United, Arsenal, and Liverpool to do that.
Probably has the record for worst Yank to play in the league. Though at least he has scorrd unlike EJ.

Landon Donovan was good in his brief stints. Brian McBride did well, Geoff Cameron, DaMarcus Beasley played for City. Stu Holden was absolute top before being hacked down by that German fellow. Many others, obviously the platoon of keepers. I mean Kasey Keller and Friedel? Tim Howard was originally signed by United and Matt Turner was at Arsenal.
