Ozil and Mertesacker are winners of the FA Community Shield, as Arsenal complete the 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

Kevin Trapp holds the shut out, as PSG beat Lyon 2-0 to win the Trophee de Champions.

MaTS definitely did his part winning the Champions League and Copa del Rey portions of the Treble last season. He's showing good attentiveness and motivation this summer by cutting his holidays early in order to rejoin the team. At each step of the way, he's demonstrated the will to earn the starting job. So I also hope the time is now that he achieves it.

I didn't realize Kevin Trapp is now at PSG. Good for him?

Ginczek is going to make it . Will see him in the nationalmannschaft if he can stay away from injuries

Is Ginczek better than Mario Gomez and Lasogga?

I guess the big question of the upcoming season is whether or not Götze will flop again at Bayern. This is a very important season for him. What do you guys think ?

Well, Lasogga in 2013-2014 Season was better and showed more promise as a player.

Lasogga brings more aggressiveness in the game, can also be a threat from outside the box - better build-up play and has powerful long shots.

Injury proness is always a problem for big/physical/towering strikers. Lasogga is just as vulnerable as Ginczek in this regard, but Ginczek seems to maintain his condition better. More stable n Lasogga is in a more difficult situation in HSV

Goetze will not start, play from the bench, Robben, Ribbery, Muller, Thiago, Lewy, and even Costa ahead of him now

Don't know, but it would certainly make things very interesting if (hopefully) he and ter Stegen could become first team starters for their teams.

Well, Trapp has started all 3 games for PSG so far (Supercup and 2 league games), beating out Sirigu and not conceding a goal in the two league games.

Damn, it's getting really tough to keep up with all the Germans at top clubs abroad. A good sign of how much the player pool has improved though, 10 years ago we only really had Ballack and Lehmann.

Usually Epitome, Tim, Kirsten are pretty quick about this specially if center forwards perform well

I think Volland , Ginczek and Lasogga all performed well

Volland form a great partnership with Kuranyi in a 4-4-2 with two strikers up top

Hoffenheim were kinda unlucky though, lost two games in a row but they didn't perform too badly at all. Just that their opponents are superior in terms of quality. Hope they won't change the current system or formation
