Just curious if there have been rumors of Ramirez moving in the offseason. He certainly looks like he can play at a higher level and is only 23. On the other hand, MN United must be loathe to let him go as he is becoming the face of their franchise.
The club have at least an option for at least one more year. So he will be here next season. MLS doesn't like to pay transfer fees to lower level clubs in the U.S. MNUFC president Nick Rogers says we aren't a farm team and won't be giving our players away. Ibarra is signed through 2016.
Well who ever wants Ramirez (and Ibarra) is going to have to pay. http://www.mnunitedfc.com/news/deta...ramirez-signs-contract-extension#.VNzrqyxbSdM
I'm interested, I've been yelling at RSL to sign him ever since they un-listened to me and signed Luke Mulholland. But yeah at this point he would be a great piece to take with them to MLS.
Why does everyone rate Ramirez so highly? He's decent but after watching all his games the past two years I'm not his biggest fan!
Well he has scored 6 out of the last 6 games and is now the all time leading goal scorer with 27 in team history. It may have something to do with why people really like him.
I'm sorry but your blind then. He is a remarkable player, I've been singing his praises since he was playing for the Eagles in the USL. I hope RSL or some other lucky MLS club sign him soon (and compensate MNUTD handsomely).
